Hello everyone,
My name is Ryan and i live in Oceanside, CA (North San Diego). I work for the police department here in Oceanside and have recently been kicking around the idea of having a 2003+ Toyota Corolla, Matrix, and Scion car show at one of the local parking lots by the beach in Oceanside. I will be doing all of the footwork as far as getting the necessary permits to hold this show. The dat im possibly shooting for is the weekend of October 16 2005. I am posting on your forum because i would like to see if you guys are interested in participating. I myself own a 2003 Toyota Corolla -S and am sick of no organized (amateur, semi-pro) events being held. This competition would strictly be for fun (Trophies, parts, and cash prizes would be awarded to the winners). The entry fee for the vehicles will be very low. There will also be a raflle and food. I will be doing most of the footwork as far as getting parts, and i believe i have enough connections here in southern Cali to make this quite sucessful. Also you do not have to enter your car in the "show" to be their. Im planning on reserving a seperate lot for people who just want to pay a "low" entrance fee to show up and kick back. The forum i am apart of is www.9thgencorolla.com and my member name is the same as this one. I need to see about how many people are serious about entering (or showing up). Also this is my first time putting something like this together so if you have experience or suggetions (OR IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO PARTICIPATE IN SETTING IT UP *PREFERABLY THE ACTIVE PERSON WHO SETS UP YOUR SCION MEET UPS*) please e-mail me. I am very serious about this so please pass the word and i guarantee it will be a success. Any questions PLEASE e-mail me at **RPDAVIS44@COX.NET**
Im hoping im giving eveyrone enough time to plan it out. Also i want to mention your car does not have to be "magazine cover" quality. This show will be a TON of fun. Not to mention you'll be one block away from the beach if you wanna take a dip on the sunny day in oceanside. Again any suggestions or comments please contact me.[/b]
