Default New to the Scion family, got some questions....

Hey guys, Im new to the site and the Scion family, well actually I dont have a Scion but I am going to test drive an xB tomorrow and hopefully be getting one in a few weeks(oh and I want Polar White). I cant believe I am going to trade in my integra for one.... I am only doing it because I want a daily driver and in like a month I am buying my brothers integra strictly for track use. I have a few questions though, about the xB that hopefully you guys can answer.
-what number are the headlight bulbs? ( I am ordering a part for the integra and it comes with a free set of luminics bulbs so I wanna get ones that will fit the Scion)
-Should I get manual or auto tranny? I would rather just get auto since it will be my daily driver to work while sitting in traffic and stuff, but I would like to be able to use as much of that 108hp as possible. (God its going to be so hard going from 170hp to 108hp )
-does anyone know the warranty policy on modifying the xB? Im just curious since you can have TRD springs and intakes and exhausts installed by the dealer. Does any of this void the warranty? Im not going to have the dealer install any of that stuff cuz i can do it myself, but I know Acura will not usually replace a part under warranty if modifications had any effect on the replaced part.
-I dont have many plans for my Scion only because I am focused on racing Honda Challenge by next season and need to save my money for the integra, but my list of mods (atleast to start) would be:
-rims
-TEIN S-Tech springs
-prolly just a drop in air filter
-black out the grille or get a different one
-black housing headlights
-carbon fiber hood ( I love that vented one, who makes that kind and where can I get one)
That is prolly it. down the road I might think about getting an exhaust for it or even turbo-ing it if I have the extra cash which I prolly wont., but I can always dream....

Thanks for any input and help you all can be. I just joined the site a few days ago and I really like the forum so far.

welcome to the family

the headlights are H4 style bulbs.

manual will let you ge tthe most out of the 108hp ( i went from a 170 hp camaro to the box i know what your goignt hrough haha) and its cheaper but the auto i assume would be good in traffic.

the law is if they cant prove the mod you performed caused the problem then it should still be covered under warranty

they usually run about $400, ask those guys though.

i bought my black grill in the classified section here. they can be had but are popular so you have to act fast. after you have 50 posts you can post a Want To Buy ad in the classifieds section.

yeah, well I need the xB as a daily driver and then I am buying my brother's integra RS from him for a good price and using it as my track car. This way the xB will save me money on insurance, gas, payments and just those three things alone will help me save so much money so I can keep my race car maintained. Im doing it mainly for the love of racing. Sometimes you gotta make some sacrifices. I know I am going to miss the hell outta my GS-R, its been a very fun car. I LOVE the sound of vtec too. I think that is what I will miss the most. but I really wanna pursue road racing and this is the only way I can afford to do it. I dont want my race car to be my daily also as racing can be harsh on your car and I gotta have a reliable source of transportation to work. Plus I also mountain bike and the xB is perfect for transporting my bike around......I totally agree with you, but I will only be B-less for a short time....

I know, you are right about the modding. I know I will wind up putting like a turbo set up on it or something. I love your name, hahaha. The reason I question which tranny to get is also because I figure an auto would cost more to fix and would break easier and plus you dont get the advantage of the whole power band (not that it is a very big one)

I bought my XB Auto for daily use, I went from a 1990 Honda Prelude SI 4WS 5-speed to the XB. I never regreeted it, but then again I drive 2 - 4 hours per day in traffic...
