clear or smoked front marker lenses
does anyone know if there are clear or smoked front marker lenses (the ones on the sides of the front bumper) available anywhere for the xa ?? i installed clear ones on my '03 jetta and its amazing how something so small gives the car such a different look !
go on ebay and do a search for tail light tint spray or smoke spray or whatever. it'll pop up for sure. as for what brand to use, they all work the same. don't worry about it. look for the biggest can you can get because if you like the look, you can do your tail lights, headlights, whatever.
it's basically a translucent paint that can be used on plastics. the more you use, the darker the plastic gets. keep in mind, darker might look better, but it will affect the visibility of your lights. a little goes a long way anyways.
i've used it on several cars, my own included, and think it does an amazing job. and best of all, you can take it off if you ever want to lose the look. a little paint thinner and you're back to stock.

NICE that looks hot! if i had to have 1 critique of it i would say go to NAPA and get the duplicolor spraypaint that matches your car and use that... hmm maybe this is a possible taillight project for me once i get those TYC tails.... hmmm...

moved !?! this is were i originally posted so i don't know where it was moved from/to. anyway i was talking about the side marker lenses on the front bumper (not the signal lamps, tail lights, head lights) so i'm not sure how well smoked paint is going to work on yellow tinted plastic. i thought for sure with all the modification going on here, some company would have manufactured clear &/or smoked marker lenses. alot of other cars (vw, honda, subaru) have these available, so i thought scion or an aftermarket company would have already thought of this. guess i'll just keep looking around. thanks anyway.
it looks pretty good imo. they just get darker but you can still see some of the yellowish orange. it's a taste thing i guess. i'll see if i'm not lazy this weekend if i can post up some pics.
