My girlfriend just bought me a 17'' Flipdown tv and the local shops are wanting to charge alot on the install how hard is it to do????????

Holy crap, a 17" flip down......That is a damn big TV. Sorry can't help you with install info. I guess it would depend on your knowledge of electrical installation. For me, I wouldn't attempt it and I would shop around for the best install price. Good luck and make sure you post pics when you get it installed...

 

who have you asked to install and how much are they wanting.
Where did you get a 17 in. flip and how much did that bad boy cost? I am wanting to put one in my car but havent looked much just on my want to do list.

 

Well my girlfriend bought it for my used but like new for $400 but i found the same one on ebay for bout $1000 after shipping.

I placed it in there last night and man was it massive it touches both front headrest on the way down!!!!

But man i cant wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did you find someone to put it in yet. I live around Rivergate and there is quite a bit of places that will probably put it in for you.

 

AudioMasters said $100 install and $225 for dvd player!
AudioVisions said $100-150 install and $179-199 for dvd player!

 

I don't know how much you want to spend but 100 dollars to install a tv and dvd player aint bad in my eyes. Cause i seen the dealer get one installed in their show vehicle and it took the place all day long to put it in and 100 ain't bad for a whole days work. now on the price of the dvd player it depends on the maker cause some i would not give 2 cents for.

100 for install is a great deal. I charge 150-200 to install the same thing at my shop.

 

I hope that 17" TV helps your car handle better.

You can install it. Just take your time and thouroughly read the directinos. It's pretty straight forward.

Regardless, $100 is good for an install. I get minimum $175 for that install.

 

what exactly do you do there?

is it easy to get a job at a dealership? just curious i love cars and would love to work with them.
