This gets an 'A' for effort, and an 'FU' for style.
It also gets a 'I just threw up in my mouth' for taste.

To back up what engifeener has said countless times, if you're embarrasd of what you own because of what someone did to their car, you might have some self esteem issues :/.
I like it. One of the most original looks out t here. At least from this pic, the paint looks extremely well done.

It's Haze's tC. Made its debut at the 2004 SEMA Show in Vegas.
yeah i saw it at sema, nobody who was looking at it had anything positve to say about it, its hidieous and all it shows is WHAT not to do with a scion or other car, the rims look like some pep boys wheelcovers......i think i can still taste the throwup in my mouth.........

May I ask why it was so hideous? Poor execution or poor design? In other words, was the paint poorly done, or you just hated the way they did it?

its too much, the rims look to busy, for the rest of the car, and the paint is too busy as well, too much going on.......but for me its the rims that kill it.

I saw this @ a car show in philly. the exterior is all vinyl on top of the base sliver. And I too threw up in my mouth a little

I think this car is also pictured in the actual thick Scion book/CDROM catalog they give out at the dealer...
All I can think of when I look at this car, is the band KISS. I never liked KISS.

I might, but I don't.
I'm just saying that stuff like that lowers the classiness of the car for all us.
You don't see too many porsche's or bmw's painted like that, and there's a good reason. You *DO* see a lot of civics with that sort of thing going on, and there's a good reason for that too.
Which group would you rather the tC gets lumped in with?

REALLY!! gross! WAY to much vinyl, when I thought it was paint, it was cool, but now that it is a vinyl, NO!! I am thinking about getting my box done by some graphitti artists, I think that it will look good on the box cuz it is simple, not really any body lines, and I am going to have simple rims (konig MP3) What do you guys think?

Well, it being vinyl does lower it's class down for me. but I still think it's an interesting art work. practicality? No. Would it appeal to the type of people who go to car shows? Not usually.

personally i like it... not for daily driving.... but as a strict show car i like it alot... its original and its driving scions point of being able to make this car as custom as you want.
its more of a marketing tool. it draws in the graphic dev. crowd... the young graphiti artists... the market scion wants... the young cool hip crowd. id rather it be paint, but still all that vinyl isnt easy to do. the wheels are ugly, id like to see a set of custom cut wheels for the project but that takes more money then the marketing dept would probably have.

I saw this car at the Scion Expo in Houston, TX (boy it gets around). If I can remember correctly I don't think that all of that is vinyl...I remember checking but I am not sure...
I LOVE the Originality of this car...Extremely eye-catching!!

I didn't touch it but I heard that it's all paint. And though I don't like it the work that went into it is very amirable. Yes the interior is the same way. If you met the owner then you could understand why this happened to this car (Haze was the tall white guy at the Scion booth). I think it is JUST a show car though cause I saw it being loaded onto the truck withth e xB and the xA, both of which were nice but they wouldn't let me see inside so that sucked.

The desription from scionzone.com
"The vehicle that seemed to produce the strongest reaction amongst online forums visitors on the Internet was the Scion tC designed by Eric Haze. Eric has done quite a few significant design projects. The tC was painted pretty much in black and white, but still manages jump at you like some sort of Escher print. You know you are dealing with a designer with serious clout when the project vehicle has custom tires designed by Haze and manufactured by Yokohama. Reactions online have ranged from "Yuck!" to "its beautiful." You'll have to decide for yourself, but it's clear that it pushes some traditional concepts of what a custom paint job should look like.
Here is Scion's unofficial description of the vehicle:
Haze grew up at the beginning of the hip-hop era, on the subway line that runs from Broadway to Manhattan. The subway's influence can be seen in his constant experimentation and expression of the written word. Haze's projects include logos, album covers for artists such as the Beastie Boys and LL Cool J, limited-edition shoes for Nike, his line of streetwear and furniture.
The vehicle is definitely different. Isn't that what Scion is all about? It's the "magic" and "uniqueness" that Mr. Farley refers to. If you look at all of Scion's marketing literature, the emphasis is urban lifestyle and self expression. In that theme, this tC fits right in."

Interior is great and it matches with the exterior but
A for interior A for creativity D for exterior...

Well, I can't argue with that... but I guess my next car needs to be one made for grown-ups.

It's all paint. I saw it at H.I.N. in Charlotte NC this past april and it had a Boyd Coddington plate on the back so I'm guessing thats who painted it.

I saw this car at JGTC last year. Extremely hideous IMO, I wouldn't be caught dead in it but as stated before for a show car/marketing tool it stands out and is creative. Except for the wheels, they blow no matter how you slice it.
