I hear that if you dont have ceramic coated headers, on the long run your gonna run into problems with cables melting and plastic as well,

Is this true or whats your opinion ?

 

ceramic coating won't make THAT much of a difference.

 

If you have cables and hoses melting, then they're in the wrong spot. If it's properly designed it won't make a difference. A high HP turbo kit is a lot hotter than just a header, and I've never melted any hoses or whatnot.

 

its either mild steel with ceramic coating or stainless steel. stainless steel lasts longer and ceramic reduces the heat from expanding....

i believe they generate the same amount of heat on the engine bay.
