I like the black emblem look but I also want to have some contrast on the emmblem. I have a silver tC so I was thinkig of painting the emblem black (flat or glossy) but then paiting the word scion silver again to match my car. This I would do with a fine brush of course so it looks nice. I am considering to do this on the back emblem as well. What do u think? I am going to dark rims and black tints so it will all flow together. 8)

I think it would probably look good on the front, but I'd say skip the back b/c it might look out of place. With the front you have the black grille as a matching piece - on the rear, you don't really have anything to set it off.

that was me who tried it on my super white.
i did it the cheap "ghetto" way, you could say
1st painted the emblem Front Emblem super white and after it dried, i used a Pemanant Fine Tip Sharpie to color the letters in. Looked great, and couldnt tell at all.
i thought about doing the back Black with White letters (no not with Whiteout) but doing it right with paint. after 2-3weeks. i just Blacked them both out totally.
the white emblem was too hard to keep clean with all the bugs i hit.
i would say "GO FOR IT!" if all fails and it turns out bad..or you mess up...just black them out. they look good that way too.
if you need ideas on how to do it or questions PM me
