I'm about |---| this close to getting my money back from ScionSpeed.

Who's got a turbo kit for me. C'mon. 300hp+ contenders.

HEY COMPANIES!! 24 YEAR OLD WITH :money: MONEY :money: TO SPEND ON YOUR PRODUCT!!! GETS LOTS OF EXPOSURE, TOO!!

:tap:

I've lost my early 20's trying to either FIX or UPGRADE TO a turbo car. Seriously folks. I can't GIVE this money away. Why can't I get a straight answer as to WHY I haven't seen the kit I ordered almost 6 months ago? "good shipping some soon" is not a response after all this time. First tCtunerz now this.

Yes, I've been one of ScionSpeed's biggest advocates up until this point. I think their product is/will be great but **** I am SO frustrated with them. :flame:

Or you could be one of the few (and proud) that gets a 100% custom solution, as I am. More modular than the scionspeed options, about as expensive as their stage 1 with the power of the stage 2, and the pride of saying I did it myself.

Yup, one of the times I wish I could do this stuff myself.

Draven, if you don't mind me asking, what date did you pre-order your SS Turbo on and what did you pay?

Most credit card companies (not sure about American Express) give you 90 days from the intial date of purchase to place a charge back claim.

You have been more than patient over the last few months. I hope you can get this all worked out. I know that new Clutch and Flywheel are yearning for all that extra power they were made to handle...

I know I can get a refund without a problem. The problem is that I don't want a refund - I want this kit! I believe it is the best one out of the 3 or 4 different options touted on this site.

Bah.

Well if a company is able to string their customers around for over half a year with no definite answer what does that say about their product they are selling? What happens when something in your kit fails do you think they'll be around to help you out? Their kit is definitely nice. I too was going to purchase one of their kits but their lack of customer service steered me away. I wouldn't support a company that would treat its customers that way. We are the ones that keep them in business.

honestly if you got your money back, what would you do with it? ZPI isn't shipping and Dezod isn't done with designing their kit.

If you are honestly that confident with their kit, just wait and if someone else starts shipping, THEN get your money back and get someone else's kit.

This is exactly the root of all of my frustration.

I guess I just needed a _____fest to keep from doing something rash like getting a refund. As stupid as that sounds.

At least if you call over there you can get a hold of and talk to Jayson. It's just the same response "next week" all the time... argh.

Guess they should call this forum "Power Starving"

why dont you call them and really talk to them about the delays. If they feel threatened by a refund they may act faster.

go with ZPI stage 1. puts out 300 @ 10psi. and you wont need to forge the internals with that kit.

i have my eye on that.

ya know, now that I think about this whole turbo selling mishap, probably most of the shops aren't too big right? I mean, we're not talking that stuff you see in The Fast and Furious where the shop is as big as a warehouse. Most likely, there moderate to small sized complexes. From experience in the business of selling this stuff, I'm guessing they don't carry like 20 of these kits in stock and they just reorder when they need to. Obviously their price is pretty good and they have lots in demand, but their supply isn't so great, so is it their fault? Or should we maybe look at the manufacturers of the turbos and the other companies involved who are helping to mass produce these kits. All and all, I think it's just a matter of time, they've been around for at least a year now so I'm sure their customers, whoever they are, are fairly happy, otherwise they'd be out of business quick.

That is exactly what i was thinking, the company has just started and has had such a high demand that they can't grow and can't keep up. Its just a bad situation for everyone, hopefully they will get everything worked out.

I know they will. I'd probably still go with this kit over any of the others having to choose again. Maybe I just bought the car too early. 8)

Did you know that the tC has stock forged internals? Hit it up... (http://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=67324) that's hot!

I can't GIVE this money away.
Sure you can... I'll just give you my address.

Sorry though dude. There seem to be a lot of delays/problems for things of the tC nature.

I say reinvest into ZPI. Some pipe is much easier to get then a batch of turbos. I cancelled ScionSpeed kit after first month deadline miss.

draven this is my "0.02" cents. You tell me what you think

1. buy something so expensive from someone with a strong hitsory background, especially in motorsports. you don't wanna give money away like you did at tctunerz. tctunerz's an ___, you can PM me personally about why i believe so.

2. get your refund, and i can have someone build you a custom turbo that will please you as well.

a few suggestions, sending your car to Blast Racing, turbonetics, or SP Engineering.

My point is, get your refund and invest it on a company that has more history in motorsports.

Dang, John, you have a bunch of Mods!

Is that the ZPI kit you have in there? Care to share some pics of your audio and power mods?

thanks for the plug. if you guys have any questions, feel free to ask, i am happy to help. We have more experience building high power (700+whp on hondas, 1300+whp on supras) turbo systems than most engineering firms, turbonetics included.

I can help answer any technical or design questions you may have. feel free to email me at geoff@full-race.com. i did the design on kenny tran's TC (but from 2500 miles away and off cell phone camera pics) and have since figured out some much better ways to do the turbo kit.
