Could always go for the Mac Mini... it's small and can do wireless (bluetooth) for keyboard/mouse, or I'm sure you could just go touchscreen.

not a bad idea, i wanted to do something were i could put a touch screen in the HU compartment, and maybe like a remote dvd player, and the cpu under the seat, i was alos thinking a removable hard drive. im really just trying to get all the stuff i want in a stereo system by using a computer, inetead of buyin a tv/head unit, dvd player, mp3 player (and still not being able to view my video's on my pc), and an ipod adaptor, i think it might be eisier to do a pc setup u know...but ill think about it....maybe this isnt such a good idea.....ill google it wen i get home, see wat i find

You can get a tablet PC (touchscreen) with XP.
They have an onscreen keyboard (and a physical one) and you can use the stylus for a mouse.

Go to Circuit City or Best Buy to get a better idea.

This is a buddy of mine in our car club ScinergyGA. He's also on the board here as fixerofallthings IIRC.
As a big ol' computer nerd by day, boy racer by night, this is the set up I'm shooting for.

Default carPC

I have a Minibox M100. Connected to two LCDs up front. I am using it for engine software and a wideband O2 sensor. I have internet through my RAZR V3 cellphone. A GPS under the dsah. I am going to sell this PC and get the mini-ITX wiht the PCMCIA slot to have internet all the time via my Ericsson GC83 PCMCIA card. Using Cingulars EDGE internet. Close to DSL speeds.

Default my company pc

My company Fujitsu who makes computer register configuration they have what we call towers/slices. These slices are compact and like the old pc's, they're horizontal rather the vertical standing ones. They're compact, and have laptop motherboards rather then desktop ones, which saves power consumption. They are donating a 1.5 Ghz chassy slice with one 12" touchscreen independant display with a custom mounting pivot arm. They are also getting me a 15" touch screen for the rear passengers, then I'm going to wait a few months so my boss can write me off another Compact slice these, I already measured fits perfectly under my xB seats. All I need is a AC/to/DC converter box to power it. I'll have a wireless card to pull up to Net Cafe's and connect to wireless LAN's. I'll post some pics of the slices so you guys have a idea of how compact it is. They also carry, DVD drives, RAM chips, I'll be getting two 512 cards with both my slices. Each slice will also have two 40Gig hard drives. They are also have 6 usb ports on both the units. They guy that works in the scrap room is going to upgrade it before they let me take it home. Oh did I mention this was all for free. And also, this is the same company that makes Fujitsu-Ten (Eclipse Audio) I get half off all thier equipment. but I'll only be buying two 15" pro subs and two amps, and upgrading all my panel speakers. So I have alot comming up this next month! I'm excited and I'll post pics when I'm done!!!

clean customs here on sl can do it for you. i've seen his work on xb's and it's amazing. he's currently imolding a monitor in my dash , mounting the dvd headunit in the cubby, and installing a media player with a hard drive in my xa. i should have it soon. you should give him a call. it'll save you a lot of work and his prices are really fair.
