Default I am deranged

I'm trying to convince the wife to let me paint the xB flat black with some chrome accents, old style red rims and some fat whitewalls. Stylisticlly going for something that kind of resembles an old Model A Ford.

I'm thinking of using John Deere Blitz Black tractor paint, It's more of a satin finish than flat so it has some shine. It's super durable and has the UV protection so it wont fade to grey.

So anyone know where I can get chrome grills other trim for an xB?

How many posts of acts of one track minders will have to suffice until they all realize that most of their ideas stink!

To be honest, creating a "flat black with a satin finish" vehicle will look terrible. And the chrome with it? Please man, don't treat the box like that, it has feelings too!

if you do go with the satin finish, I'd put wither gloss black or gloss red pinstripes on it... post pics if you get it painted

Probably won't look that great, but honestly, it's original to
the xB world, and if that's what you want GO FOR IT!

Why conform to what others think is right, this car is about
uniqueness!

Default Satin Black

I dig the crude look of satin black. Not to sure about the box yet. Hers my Baja Borg sportin 10 rattle cans of satin black. The red looks good with it.

Old school ganster style. You see hot rods with that styling. It was a popular thing to do at one time.

there's a group of old schoolers who ride some oldie merc's and other cars that sport the satin/matte finish paints w/ pinstripe.. looks hot. i think they were/are called the Boulevard Knights...

and chrome w/satin paint looks nice - especiialy w/pinstriping..

totally right...

what moves you?

if thats what you want hey go for it! i'd go for the satin paint over the tractor toy truck gloss look but thats me...and your not doing this to satisfy us right? your doing it because its original and reguardless of what anyone says or thinks it is you who drive home in your box with a big grin...if it makes you happy do it...make it your own creation

i seriously want to see it when it done if you do it...i like radical ideas...maybe thats why i drive an Xb... hehehe
