Well the only spec i could find in the install manual was 39.9 and im looking for the spec on the top bolts that you tighten in the engine bay. The reason i was wondering is becuase today, while installing my greddy strut bar, i broke on of the bolts. yes thats right clean in two. after about 30 mins of cussing and _____ing in my garage i email tein about it about 5 mins ago. none of the other bolts broke jsut that one. maybe a defective bolt? would it be covered on teins warrenty? is ok to drive with only 2 bolts tightened?
i have the worst luck with this car i swear. first my wheel falls off, then the bracket holding my k&n intake on (oem) breaks in two diffrent places and now i break a damn coilover WHY GOD WHY WHAT HAVE I DONE TO YOU??!?!?!?

i wouldnt sweat driving with 2 bolts for the time being. get another bolt from tein or the hardware store. tap out the broken bolt with a (sledge)hammer and replace. of course you'll have to pull off the coilover to do this.

ya I used 40 lbs.... Dont have pillowball but not sure that it would really matter. My greddy strut bar mounts bent slightly under 40 lbs but now it hugs the car and fits alot better.

I just tighten to what I feel... check it next day then week later... never had a problem

Oh my that is very very sad to hear.. It's like impossible they deny the claim.. Did you open it up and inspect before driver left?

your the man joe. oh and no i didnt because it would of took me 20 mins to get through all the wrapping etc. which i feel like a fool for doing now. i talked to one of the reps at the company and he said the drivers usually wont wait around anyway unless there is visable damage to the package. yeah right
