Here are some pics of the header we built today..
www.weapon-r.com/images/xb-header-1.jpg

Primaries are 1.5" 16 gauge stainless steel.
collector is 2.25".
Primaries are 18.5" long.
All equal length..

This is just a prototype..
Production will be in 2-3 months..

Now that coupled with a Blitz supercharger kit would kick a$$.

I was thinking that, too! I think the MadMax look is pretty cool, too!

Man......

Decent header
Super charger
Intercooler
Manifold back 2.25" or 2.5" exhaust
Head porting/polishing...maybe some valve work
Cold air intake
And a nice intake manifold that's not that plastic BS

........I'd poo myself.

what about the header makes it xB specific? j/c on that end, is it the positioning of the plumbing that would go incorrectly in an xA?

I really dont know whats the difference in header for XA to XB..
But looking at the two cars and the exhaust config it might be the same..

want an xA to find out for fitment  I'm in Mountain View so I could swing by easily. PM me if you are, or aren't, interested...

well.. since this header is equal length and has long runners for more torque and higher rpm power.. It does require some work for installation..

First of all it requires you remove the passanger side axel for more space to remove the OEM exhaust manifold and to install the New header.. So in short.. It's gonna take some time to test fit one of these on an XA.

As far installation goes, it would require a pretty good mechanic..

You need to remove the OEM exhaust manifold , remove the 1st & 2nd exhaust manifold shield and bracket , and remove the passenger side axel.

Install the header and then , Re-Install the Passenger Side Axel.
Both exhaust shields do not get re-installed..

Leo..

It's kinda a pain in the arse, but i think it's gonna be worth it for the power/torque gains..

z06 corvettes don't seem to have a problem with plastic intake manifolds.
they are lighter and do the job just as well.

it is a superior product.

I dunno.....they just look crappy and restrictive. Maybe not though. I've never owned a 1.5L engine.....don't know what it needs. Only a 2.3L.

think of it as a 'composite' intake manifold and it won't seem so bad =)

Its shape may not be optimal, I don't really know. But the fact thats its made of plastic is just making the car lighter for you. Some Mustang GTs has composite intake manifolds too. Its getting more and more common.

Hmm......"composite" eh? That sounds like its from the future (possibly the present)! I'm sold!

Get some dyno numbers and I might be interested. I can't be interested in something that just looks good. It has to perform well also  .

definitely should post some same day before/after dyno results.

do this and show a nice result, and the thing will sell like crazy.
and if the results don't come up so good, you can work on improving the design =)
