HI, I was just wondering since I live in Boston what happens to a car everytime they it a bump? The only thing I could come up with is it would be bad for the tire/wheel and it will cause some wheel alignment problems. But is there anything else that will be affected? Thanks.

the shocks will wear faster. so will all suspension parts such as bushings and such due to the added stress. However, I wouldnt be too worried about it because toyotas are built to last

I agree, but I wouldn't worry about any new car. It would have to be a serious bump to cause instant damage. If anything your alignment would change, but that's to be expected. Everything else will take years of abuse.

i agree with both of them above me, but about the alignment, I must say that it is something to watch frequently. I had to have my car in for an alignment (under warranty) because it had a -.12 degree yaw on the right front within the first 2500 miles.
