My brother has a 2000 Civic Si with about 118 ft/lb torque. Between 5500 and 8000 RPM's I can still feel the torque consistently. I just got down I my tC and torque at low RPM in 2nd gear is awesome, but at high RPM it seems like I'm not accelerating anymore even though I am. It could be because I'm used to my 125 Hp, 108 ft/lb Kia Sephia and the Civic! lol. I know torque and horsepower almost seem inverse to each other.

Does anyone else have any comments on the gear ratios and power distribution throughout the RPM range.

Tourque = Good low end
HP = Good High end

You won't feel tourque in the high end.
5200 RPMs is that magic number where horsepower outweighs Tourque.

Look at the RX7, anything can beat it in the low end, but once it hits the high end you can't catch it. And it has no tourque at all.

torque pulls.. dont think u need much pulling at higher rpm.. speed will HP will take over. change to 3rd gear? thats a pulling gear... lol

i think it just takes a little getting used to. My shift patterns are a lot quicker by comparison to pervious vehicles so thats why it feels like loss. I love how the car pulls though. I definitely feel that!
