Default Xb exhaust questions

I know this has been over many times but I will ask again. Just bought a Scion Xb and want to change exhaust. This is my daily driver and work transportation so it has to be moderate sounding and not ricer sounding. I have a tnanabe on my supra which is very mellow you almost don't know it is there. I want something with a nice deep rumble but not obnoxious. Thanks for any help.

I had a Tanabe Hypermedallion on my xB before my custom set-up. It was quiet as you state and hardly noticable.

If you go w/ a Magnaflow oval, get a street series and not the race series. You can get one from a shop for prolly around $200 installed w/ 2.25 inch piping.

if you had a tanabe before , than just go with it again. Why bother changing something that has worked for you before?

The Tanabe is on my Supra and does the job but the cannister is kinda big and it could be a little louder. I have not tried a test pipe yet to see what that does. But as I said the Supra was my travel car so I was trying to keep it professional and I am an old guy to. On the Xb I still have to use this for work and keep it reasonable but it would be nice to have a low rumble when pushing it as long as it is not to bad during normal driving.

I keep hearing about these here in the forum, the overall opinion seems to be they sound great but do they hang low at a angle?

they are angled, it looks good i get compliments on it like everyday. from what i hear they do hang a little lower than other exhausts, i have not compared "measured" I have had no issues with scraping, not even close only way you are gonna scrape it is if you back over a curb, lol...as far as driving / hitting bumps, your suspension will bottom out before the exhaust even comes close to the ground. def a great exhaust! Great customer service..charlie at strup is awesome! Good luck!
