Ipod connector with other mp3 players?
Only the iPod can take advantage of the upgraded iPod stereo. However, both the stock and upgraded unit have an "AUX" connector which you can use to hook any other MP3 or music player up to and listen to it through the stereo...however, it will not charge it, and you can't control it through the car's stereo.
no its ipod only... there is a aux portthat you can plug in any thing with a headphone jack. if its plugged into the aux port you will not be able to controll the device with the head unit.
I thought it was kind of a legitimate question.
Those ipod cable's end looks like the same on the USB pigtail that comes with the iRiver H10. I've never messed with it though cause I went ahead and just ran an aux line from my Kenwood to it instead. The only thing is the battery runs down this way.
