Default Ipod connector with other mp3 players?

Do any of you know if other mp3 players like the iriver h10 or the creative nomad are compatible with the ipod hookup?

Only the iPod can take advantage of the upgraded iPod stereo. However, both the stock and upgraded unit have an "AUX" connector which you can use to hook any other MP3 or music player up to and listen to it through the stereo...however, it will not charge it, and you can't control it through the car's stereo.

no its ipod only... there is a aux portthat you can plug in any thing with a headphone jack. if its plugged into the aux port you will not be able to controll the device with the head unit.

blah... Wish there was a way to use serial transfer like usb 2.0 for complete digital quality from the mp3 device to the head unit. With an analog jack you lose so much.

I thought it was kind of a legitimate question.
Those ipod cable's end looks like the same on the USB pigtail that comes with the iRiver H10. I've never messed with it though cause I went ahead and just ran an aux line from my Kenwood to it instead. The only thing is the battery runs down this way.

unless you can plug you DAP (digital audio player) into an ipod cable and have it work... it will not fit/work/do anything with the ipod upgrade.
