we met the TC engineer on sunday.
a bunch of the southern california guys met the engineer repsonsible for the new TC. he wouldn't give us any specs, but that is the official name, at least right now. he knows exactly what it's going to look like and everything about it, but he isn't talking. also, the original designers of the ist and bB were there, so that was cool. anyway, just thought i'd let you know that they have talked to real scion owners and and are aware of what mods we've done and what we are into and i'm sure the new car will reflect that stuff.
i'm starting to see why these cars were released in california first.
it's almost like a test pr ogram to help with future models and revisions before they launch full scale. also, the factory in japan can't make enough scions right now, even just for california, so they are pushing back the release date one month from the panned launch dates for the east coast and also the midwest. sorry you guys, some of you you might have to wait until july but it will be worth it, i promise.

Did anybody ask about other future models? Did anybody add that we want the Vitz or the Corolla hatchabcks? I am serious about this and convinced that Scion is missing some very potential sales. Here and now and when ever they do get it nationwide. Pushing back a month sucks a bit as I am in the southwest but that will give me an extra month to save up on the down. The Tokyo motor show is very soon if I remember correctly and it will be interesting to see what concepts they show there. The tC will be released for first viewing at the North American show in January. We will just have to see.
all we can do is tell them our opinions and they can listen. also, feel free to talk to scion corporate with your opinions. i'm sure they would be happy to hear them. but they will not disclose future plans or other unannounced info at this time. they would probably get in serious trouble if they did and toyota found out about it.
I was sent to del mar yesterday for the prius launch, and I stuck around afterwards and spoke to one of the engineers....he said he was in on the tC project, and that it's going to be awesome. It definately has the 2.4 camry engine, and he said the car hauls! It should be easy to work on too. Other than that, he just kind of smiled at all my questions and said he could't talk about it. Dang, they are keeping a tight lid on this! Still ahven't seen any pics, or sketches, or anything!
Man I am gonna stop modding my tc because if this one comes out to be rwd I'm gonna bite the bullet and get another tc!! I hope that I can keep my mods lol!! I doubt it though. UGGHHH I hate car companies keeping me in suspense!!

Necormancer has a supernatural ability to bring long-dead forum discussion threads back to life. After having been flogged to death the thread may have been deceased for many years, and bringing it back may have scant relevance to the current topic, yet Necromancer will unexpectedly exhume the thread’s rotting corpse, and strike horror in the forum as its grotesque form lurches into the discussion. The monster, instantly recognized by all who knew it in life, seems at first to breathe and have a pulse, but, alas, it is beyond Necromancer’s skill to fully restore the thread’s original vitality. The hideous apparition may frighten away some of the weaker Warriors or Warriors badly wounded in former battles, but the thread is only a shadow of its former self and very quickly expires.
Unlike Archivist, Necromancer compulsively saves every forum message in carefully preserved archives for future use in battle, while Necromancer collects departed threads merely for the thrill of resurrecting them. Some say he performs this unnatural act out of malice, others say he can’t help himself, but no one really knows.
