Scion xA or tC owner help me out please
i'm planning to buy me a tC or xA in next month or less but i can't decide which one to get. here's how it went down.... i like the xB but my wife doesn't like it all. and that gives me two cars to pick from...xA... or... tC. i have a one year old son and i'll have to put in a baby seat & booster seat after that... but this will be my commute car so i won't have him in the car all the time. what it comes down to is:
1) which one is safer?
2) which car would be more family oriented?
i really can't decide... i work @ toyota/scion dealership so i get to look at them all day but still can't make up my mind... help me out guys!

I think the xA is more family oriented, because of the 4 doors, easier to get the baby seat in and out(more practical), but if you want a more over all fun car, get the tC( no offense to any xA owners
), either way, good luck.
Well, they both offer side airbags... so as far as safety is concerned, either one should be pretty good. The tC got 4/5 even without the side airbags. But ya, the xA is the "family" one of the two - and does get slightly better gas mileage. So if it's a commuter you're looking for, sounds like the xA.

it will be the best option for 'family car'
she will get used to it, just like all the rest.
buy the xB!!!
why do people keep putting up posts wanting someone else to make a decision for them that they have to live with? The person that posted has more access to both vehicles than the majority of us since he works at a dealership. Make your own decisions in life and you will be happier.

I have an xA and a tC in my driveway right now... the xA is mine, the old fart at the house...I would have to recommend the xA...it will be a better family car, the tC(my daughters) is kinda hard for me to get into without getting a concussion...I can only imagine how tuff it would be trying to get a kid into the back seat in a crowded Wal-Mart parking lot in the rain of the tC.. BUT, as far as safety and mileage, the tC is a great car.. it sounds and feels much more solid....
Personally I have never had an issue getting a child in or out of a car with two doors. It is easier with 4, but not near enough to cause me to buy a 4 door. And I used to own a mustang, which has the most confined, useless back seat of anything I ever owned.
But, the only thing I will ever own with 4 doors would be an SUV (unless I start driving a cab for a living) , so I am partial
But if you want the easiest to access, best commuter, then the xA is the way to go. It is also taller which aids in getting in and out.
