Greetings all. I’m new to the forum. I picked up our new 2006 Black Cherry Pearl xb automatic yesterday!! Only options ordered were fog lights and new Pioneer deck with iPod.
When we couldn't find what we wanted we ordered a new 2005 on June 30th from a local dealer. Fleet guy told me 4 weeeks delivery time.
After 4 weeks I was sick of dealing with this guy. Couldn't get him to return my calls so the only way to contact him was for mew to call him or go to the dealership in person. Finally at the end of week 5 he told me it was in with a couple of changes: it was a 2006 (no problem) but it had an armrest ( problem).
I went over to look at it after the dealership closed and found out it did not have the fog lights or stereo. But it did have door sill enhancents, interior illumination kit, and the armrest. Man I was ____ed!! Contacted the fleet guy and he said he hadn't had a chance to look at it but was very sorry it wasn't equipped as wanted. He also said there was nothing he could do but order me another one!!!!
I got really ____ed then. Got a hold of the dealer’s customer service manager and sales manager and explained my problem to them. Ended up getting the options I wanted installed and they gave me the sill enhancements, illumination kit and armrest for free!
I’ve already bought a few things of ebay to install and have picked out the new wheels. Changes with pictures will follow
