How much you getting it for?

starrwulfe
08-09-2005, 12:51 AM
after taxes, title, and other fees included, $19100. but I put mad loot down on it, so Im only financing $13900. I got the rims included into the financing thanks to a deal that my dealer (Sandy Springs Scion) has with DeKalb Tire.
This was the only Camo, 5-speed xB within a 500mile distance of ATL. It came from Gastonia, NC!

damn, NC to GA for a manual Camo? Well, i'd say that's a stretch but mine is fresh from japan, finally in the USA and probably more seasick green than anything now. =) I have to ask though, how did you manage to get a stick up to $19k? The one I ordered is in the mid $15s and granted I only added the CAI and fogs...

anyways congrats on the new ride, make sure you put those new wiper blades in there!

good choice of color....be careful at night, people mistakenly think the camo is black....just blend in in the dark.

well... I got fogs, cruise control, front tower brace, tinted windows, rear cargo package, silver steering wheel, pedals and titanium gearstick knob, cargo conveinence package plus (I carry a lot of video gear), taxes, tag and title. The rims and tires alone were $1500. It gets up there pretty quick if you let it. I'd rather do the CAI and exhaust later because I can get a better deal on that stuff, and eventually I want a supercharger.

Wow, $19,100!!

I hope you got your moneys worth out of having the dealership
do the mods!

It's nice to know there is another Camo box on the road since
that's a Disco'd color!!

Not enough of them out there!

What's the "Cargo Convenience Package Plus"?

I like your new ride but you should get rid of the dealer logo on the back door. Peel that bad boy off there while it's still fresh. JM2¢

Thats where you get the cargo net, cargo mat, floor mats, and rear bumper applique. Like I said, I carry a lot of video gear during work and I dont wanna get dings and nicks to the inside of my new ride.

That's not even the dealership where Im getting mine, but the dealer where it was sourced! That's definatly coming off! I already told them that I'll just take the standard "sandy springs toyota" license plate frame-- which will go on the front when I find that JDM tag relocater thing on ebay (we dont get a front plate here in GA, and I have an authentic japanese plate from Japan from my car over there Im putting on the front)

No, you stay in front of me from now on! :P

Well now I have to wait until tomorrow (8/10) to get my box. :(
Joe had to go to the doctor, and Dauphin had no idea what was going on, becasue there weren't any notes about my options on the thing!
Oh well, I got it straightened out though!

Check you out... Sounds like you have had a Scion or even a Toyota bB before? :ponder: You definitely don't sound like a noob. Congrats on your new ride! Have fun!

Hey Prototype xB, Happy birthday!!!!

...well I did drive a bB when I was lucky enough to snag one from the company motor pool when I was working in Japan. My neighbor across the street had one too that he went totally VIP-style on. That's what led to me getting one here in the states.

OK, so Im still rollin in the white camry demo, because the tint guy postponed, and my tires are rubbin front wheel wells when I turn (why didnt they notice that when they put them on? :nope:) But check out these pix!

http://home.comcast.net/~jlgatewood/blog_photos/j7xb4.jpg
got the fogs, and rims on... but the sumitomos are 40s. I need 35s, so they rub now. Oh well. The tint will make it look dope though.

told ya that dealer logo would be offa there!

Car looks nice  ......But one question....What size are those rims and how do they fix that??? Im waiting on rims for my box too and i should get them tomorrow   I dont want something like that to happen to mine!!!! I got 18's..................... Rosalia206

starrwulfe

get thinner tires. These are 40 series Sumitomo tires wrapped around 18" ICWs... they rub. Get 35s and you'll be OK.

With 35 series tires you should be fine...

UPDATE>> finally got the rightsized tires (35s) and drove it off the lot last nite. Im going back up there in an hour to get my tint done, and then thats it! Finally the saga is over. Thanx to Sandy Springs Scion for really going the distance to make sure I got what I wanted without making me settle for less. See my dealer review for info. And thanks to all you Scion Lifers and Scinergy members who gave me all the information I needed to make my descisions as to what to put on at the dealer. I'll take more pix later to show off the finished deal. (but we all know its never really finished, isnt it...)
