Default Remote hard wired volume control for stock HU (2005)?

Does the 2005 and below stock head unit support adding an additional set of buttons to control the volume of the unit? This would be much like steering wheel mounted controls, but my plan is to put the switches in the back seat area so that one could control the volume from the back seat while watching the overhead screen. Anybody have a pin out of the radio? (BTW, If this has been covered before , I apologize. I did a search, but did not come up with anything.)

Thanks, bro. I didn't think so. So how about the 2006 + Stock head units? Don't the 06 TCs now have steering wheel controls? I was planning on upgrading to one of the newer styles anyway since I am an old school rotory volume **** kind of guy...

The 2005 xA's stock HU's volume absolutely is controllable via steering wheel controls and, therefore, could be controlled from the backseat or anywhere else in the car if you had the controls hooked up to it.

OK this sounds promising. Anybody know what connector and which pins this would be on the back of the HU?

I knew I should have taken pictures and messed with it some more while I was in there.

I installed a Scion deck into a Toyota Rav4 which has steering wheel controls and it works great (and sounds SO much better than the stock Rav4 stereo). I don't really have the ability to get back into that vehicle and probe the connections, but you may have luck on some Toyota forums or something like that, since the plug is clearly some standard for Toyota.

Sorry I can't be of more help.
