I have not made up my mind if i should go Turbo or all motor.
How much HP do you think i can get out of the motor w/o any FI????
Would it be worth going all motor??
Any opinions???
Thanks

depends on how much "all motor" you're talking about. there's a drag race team doing 320whp all motor but that's running methanol LOL.
go turbo for relatively cheap large power

All motor is good but I hope you got some DEEP pockets.

well how fast do you want to go???? turbo will be the fastest hands down...... but you will love the low end pull of the all motor, but not nearly as fast

Ok. Per Greddy the kit they will be releasing some time this year hopefully......is going to run about 3,500 to 4,000.
It will be set at a safe setting and add about 70 to 80 hp but thats already pre tuned. Obviously it can be tuned to put out more. So lets say with just the pre-settings i can get about 200-230 whp.
For that kind of money what do you think i can get out of all motor? No NOS!!!
If i could get about 250 to the wheels all motor for about that price i would be satisfied.

If you really want all-motor power, here's some ideas:
*Go with a full stand-alone ECU (motec, haltech, etc)
*Individual throttle bodies (custom throttle system needed)
*race ported head, with NA cams
*new lighter pistons, higher compression (like 12:1)
*mandrel bent exhaust
*port-matched intake and exhaust manifold for your ported head
*clutch and flywheel
That should help. But for less than half of what that would cost, you could be boosted by one of the companies (including myself) on this board and make more power, and a lot more torque.

Oh yeah, definately upgrade the valve-train to handle all the extra air flow and power.

Your looking at an expensive setup considering theres almost noting out for the TC.
The basics to N/A
1. Intake ~$220
2. Exhaust ~$600
3. Header ~$550
4. Custom Cams ~$800
5. Ported Head ~ $550
6. E-Manage ~ $900
Then from there on you get into more serious components, like Joe stated above.
What I mentioned was just a start. It will yield about 215whp for about $3600. The N/A route is a lot more expensive than the turbo route. For about $3000 you can buy a turbo kit that makes about 240whp. Whichever path you take don't forget to upgrade the tranny, suspension, and tires for optimal use.

header for $550?
cams are cheaper.
exhaust can be done cheaper. emanage is max $400.

I was just using averages. You can always buy the $1800 MM header. A cam regrind can be had for less, but I doubt you can buy a custom set for less than $800. Same with the exhaust, it's just an average. The Greddy e-manage ultimate will run about $550 but then it's an extra $300 for the harness, but you can buy the regular e-manage for about $300.
You can buy the lowest priced items, but I prefer to stick with the best (whatever gives best performance). I am not saying something has to be expensive to perform, but I was just averaging what different people might spend.

emanage ultimate for a naturally aspirated setup is a waste of money. i'm not sure why you think it's better in that case.

well with new cams it might be posible to rev higher and still make power and as far as i have been told the emanage ultimite is the only thing that removes the rev limiter on our car

Depends on what you wannt do..
For street, turbo.
For road racing, N/A
For drag....Buy something RWD. :)
