I am thinking to change my wheels, but i am concerned about the comfort level, for those who switch to bigger rims, will the comfort level go down and how does it affect the millage?? Thanks for your comment.

Thanks for your comment. isteal 08-11-2005, 07:27 AM left the wheel covers on my xB from the factory. Not gonna spend 650 bux for factory alloys... I am looking at doing 17's in the next week or two I can let you know (unless you do it first, then let me know). Good luck. hawaiiguy 08-11-2005, 08:07 AM You will feel a difference if you install 'low profile' tires on your larger rims, which will have tires ranging in the 205-40-17/215-45-17, which will create a 'bouncier/stiffer' ride. This is because one will have to increase the psi to about 40-42 lbs per tire instead of the recommended 29 lbs on the eom 15" tire. As for me, I just went up Plus 1 as I felt unsprung weight is something you don't want much of... dgHotLava 08-11-2005, 10:21 AM moved... miacub88 08-11-2005, 11:00 AM I have 205-40-17's and they feel great to me...keep in mind that there aren't to many potholes where I live :) Then you can really feel the difference. TXboxdriver 08-11-2005, 12:27 PM NOOOOOO!!! fight the urge, fight the norm big wheels are for big cars stay small and comfy 40-series and lower tires ride rougher and "track" the lines(grooves) in tha road that means it will pull different ways on different roads Happy Bday dgHotLava blackazxb 08-11-2005, 01:08 PM I have 18" Motegi RT5 wheels with 215-35-18 goodyears. Ride is a little stiffer but I feel that it handles better and is more stable when cornering. vicdeng 08-11-2005, 06:53 PM You will feel a difference if you install 'low profile' tires on your larger rims, which will have tires ranging in the 205-40-17/215-45-17, which will create a 'bouncier/stiffer' ride.
