Hey, I just wanted to know your opinions on the mods I want to do. Will I have any problems putting 19s on an xB and lowering it two inches? If not, what brand springs will I need? And are the springs all I need for the lowering process? Will the measurement 215/35/19 be right or do I go bigger?

Thanks

Welcome to the boards and just an FYI but I was told by my dealer that going with 19's is going to void the powertrain warrenty on my xB, while ever dealer seems to be giving a different answer to everyone I would highly suggest getting it in writing if you can as that dealer may not be around at 60k if your tranny goes on you and unless you have 2-3 to blow on a new one you are going to be SOL.

I REALLY wanted to go 19's but its not worth the risk involved... Another idea would be to contact Scion directly and ask them for something in writing; infact i may do that myself and see what happens.

19' wheels will void the warranty. I work at Priority Scion in Chesapeake, Va.

Yup, my dealer told me the same thing :? . A nice pair of 17" will look hot also. Voiding the warrenty is not someting I want to do..

Like I mentioned in my previous post, i just put 17" on my RS1...tire size i used is 205/40/R17... they might not be your cup of tea... but they might be a compromiseyour willing to consider.

Oh and note I haven't done anything to the suspension yet... haven decided. Oh and One more note... consider that 19" might have a major rubbing issue when you turn.... my 17" dont rub so far.

19' wheels void the warranty? I bought my xb with 19's on it.

hey fella's, you can fit 18" and drop the vehicle 2" and the tires will not rub. Trust me, I did it to my dealer car.

is there something in the warranty that specificly says this? Like, "You cannot use 19" wheels on your scion"? Or is it one of those "Its aftermarket so it will void warranty" deals??

goto scion.com and read about the wheel packages... it says the 19" wheels will not be under warranty, don't know if it says your car won't either, but i guess you can assume that. i don't get why they offer 19" wheels at the dealerships if they DO void your warranty.

Bullsh!t, why would a wheelsize void a warranty? I have 19's on mine and took it in for warranty work they didnt say anything about it!

I plan on going with the TRD 1`` drop springs and a set of 18`s when I decide to upgrade my tires and wheels. For me 1`` is cool as I`m in a semi-rural area and still have to deal with unpaved roads. :(
