Default RS 1.0 Grills

Hey Guys,

I met up with my buddy who owns an 05 Scion TC RS 1.0 (the red one). His grills in the front bumper are really cool. They're metal and they don't have the Scion emblem. Where can I buy these to put on my flint mica??? I want!

go to your local dealer and order it for about $1,300 (I'm serious about the price...) ... otherwise have you seen any non RS 1.0 owner around here with a RS 1.0 grill? I didn't think so (unless they stole it lol )

I have 2 dealers close by and when i asked both service departments they didnt even know there was a red tc or that the grill was different! so both of them tried to even get me this part but had no luck at even giving me a price

I hate to say it, but you'd be better off getting an overpriced grille from grillcraft rather than mortgage your home to buy a stock RS 1.0 grille.

I think McGeorge has the RS1 grill for like $970 or something. It's completely out of hand but since Scion seems to know that people think the best part of the RS1 is the grill, they don't want other people to have it. The Grillcraft grill seems to be by and large the most popular alternative, but I just don't like the fineness of the mesh - I like the RS1 grill color, but I also like the fact that it's more like a thin piece of metal with holes punched in it, rather than a bunch of wire woven together. I don't want a billet grill... I just want a knockoff of the RS1 stuff. I can see why people don't make them yet - it's a lot easier to find mesh. But that's what I'm holding out for.

i just dont like the honeycomb pattern on the regular tc grills. and like it was said, the grillcraft grills remind me of a window screen. too fine.

ur right bout the grill being overpriced..if thats wut makes a limited edition car special then why would they want to sell it for cheap. then it wouldnt be so limited now would it? thats smart on scions part. the other reason its expensive is cuz the dealer sells the grill with the whole front bumper. they claim that it cant be taken off so thats why they sell the whole bumper with it. and i think the best part about the RS1 are the rims :D

What do you think of those darker rims on the R1.0? I have the option of getting a set form my dealer because a customer of theirs bought the R1.0 but didn't like the rims so they took em' off and put stock ones on. They're willing to put them on my car for $300 in exchange for my stock rims - which have 0 miles on them since they still have my car for the ground effects kit install...
