just installed the ddx7017 the other day-the thing is awesome. i'll post some pics of it tomorrow. basically, it's identical to the 7015 excpet is has 5volt preouts instead of 2volt and it has 1 extra rca input. i also just ordered the edi6000s components for the back of the car. i guess i have to mount those as coaxials. in the front i have the kicker resolution components. i'm also gonna change the sub i have to a diamond audio one. i put edead in the trunk, i have to do the doors, the hatch, and then the floor at some point. the only thing i need is to get a center channel speaker to have surround sound. has anyone done that with the ddx?

 

I have the ddx 7017 also, and I agree it is nice. As for as the center channel I haven't installed one yet.

 

has anyone fit the edi components into the rear speakers? i just wanna make sure that there's enough room to mount them. all i need is a baffle to fit them, right? is there a way that i can mount them without setting them up as coaxials?

 

yes the ddx's are so sweet. i sold my 7015 and have the 8017 also putting in a center channel. but everything is just sitting in my friends room till he takes care of some personal emergency stuff then he will put it in. man it's like christmas for me i know i'm getting it now i just got wait till that day comes when it goes in.

and my old deck went to my friend who got a tacoma. he was hesitant about picking it up. and now he's on a mission of buying a whole cr*p load of dvd's.
