Default yoko s32A on tC, comments

I have a stock tC 06 and it came with yoko's not the bridgestone. My impressions so far.

1. On smooth paement going in a straight line these tires seem pretty good.

2. On bumpy roads the tires tend to hop and ABS comes on during breaking quite a bit. I have had some scary experiences on some NYC roads trying to stop on a very bumpy road and the ride is somewhat harsh (to be expected).

3. I have taken this car on some twisties in the country. I feel like it is difficult to push this car to its true limits with these tires. I often feel like the car is going to lose traction mid turn and I have to let up on the gas before I bite it. This might also be related to suspension since I have the stock suspension.

4. It has been very dry here, but we did have a rainstorm the other day and I was out in it. The car seems to handle well in wet conditions with these tires. However I have not had much experience with these tires under wet conditions. I would like to see how they are on a long highway drive during wet conditions

5. I have 1300 miles on the car, I need to check the tire pressure to make sure it is correct. What pressure are people keeping these tires at. The dealer said 29 up front and 32 in the back (I believe, I have to check that)

Please post your impressions of these tires so far. I have not found much info on them. Also if you changed out your tires for other 17s please say how they are different (better or worse).

Thanks

Well the pressure in the tires was 45psi all around! I should have checked sooner. I lowered the pressures and we will see what happens.

My bet is the high pressures were causing the unsettled feelings you were getting when stopping on bumpy roads!
