Are the stock springs at all progressive looking or do they look linear? I notice that the better aftermarket springs available look like they are a progressive spring. The stock ride seems to be linear to my ___.

The stock coils are wound a little closer together at one end, but not much. Aftermarket coils are soft on the end and close together so that the spring is still at a stock length when uncomressed. Otherwise it would only be about 4" tall and would fall out of the car if you hit a bump.

so are you saying that you don't think the aftermarket is a progressive spring, but that it just appears that way?

I though they looked that way too. I haven't seen any pics of a stock spring, that's why I asked.
Thanks.
Oh BTW....I found out that Echo springs are longer up front, so they won't fit unless cut.
