Default My opinion and my $300

Hey everyone, I just wanted to give everyone my opinion on the tC. I picked up my 06 Automatic Flint Mica on august 9th, and I am about to hit 1000 miles. I think the car is absolutely AMAZING. Good on fuel, engine gives good acceleration and handling is better than i expected, the car is huge from the inside and can carry so many things. I just moved in to an apartment and I have been buying so many things and everything fit in the tC, you people should see this desk i'm sitting on right now, the whole box fit into the back with the seats folded down. When i was at office max buying the desk, I asked the girl at the cashier if it would fit into my car and pointed into the parking lot, she was like NO WAY NOT IN A MILLION YEARS, but it did!

My tC and my brother's spec V basically unloaded everything in a full storage unit with one trip. Enough about space....now to my little problem.

My car is still stock now, and I decided to put around 200-300 dollars in my car. I need opinions on what to go for first. I was thinking the subwoofer, but the stereo is good enough for me and I dont think spending the 300 dollars is worth it on the subwoofer. I also thought about getting several small mods, like a shiftknob (i know its AT dont flame), the aluminum doorsills, silver pedals, OR I could lower the car, but I think that would probably be more than 300 dollars because of installation. Is the rear sway bar worth it? Can anyone estimate how much it is with installation? Ok sorry for the long very unorganized post but i'm in a hurry, give opinions please. Thanks.

Btw: I been reading on these forums all summer while I was waiting to get my TC, man i love this car.....

i would get the windows tinted, silver pedals, pillar aplique, bumber protector, and if you have enough left over get another shift ****.

No way, i'm not an ipod person, iriver all the way! lol, aux port is okay in the middle armrest. I got to ask though, what does intake do other than the very very slight inrease in hp? Does it sound nice? Oh and is it easy to install? thanks for opinions everyone keep it coming.

I'd spend the money on springs and basic cosmetics...

If you have air tools (or know someone who does) and a torquewrench you can do the spring install yourself using one of the many guides here online and save yourself 200 bucks.

What's a bumber and why do people keep posting about it?

not sure about your $300, but bought a HT system that came in a BIG box. Reviews online said to bring a truck/suv to get it home, or be prepared to open the box and take out the components to get it in your vehicle. Yup, whole package fit in perfectly, only had to move the passenger seat up a couple inches. Love the interior of this car... (and love the sound system, but the neighbors don't.)

Ya... OEM subwoofer - not worth the money from the dealer. Use the $300 on something else.

As for "what" ... well, it depends on what you want. You could get an intake and a couple other little under the hood goodies. Or if you want handling - springs/rear sway bar. Or cosmetic stuff - little interior things like the shift **** and pedals. Maybe some taillight overlays - smoked 3rd brake? Or smoked tails with a smoked red-out 3rd brake (talk to bluebatmobile about them).

There really are a lot of options, but it depends on what you want out of it... better sounding? Sub and amp. Looks? Springs, overlays, b pillar, etc. Power? Intake. Handling? Sway bars/springs.

Get the DC strut bar for handling: $100. Works great.
Next try the TRD or H-Tech springs.

Then save for the tint and such.

Just my opinion

I would say springs or rear sway bar way before a strut bar. You'd get much more benefit from either of them before the strut bar.

First or second week of september i will be calling you to get it put on. I don't know if mine are cut or not? I think you might have just given me the bulk kit. Don't forget to bring the blue headlight overlays - Maybe you can hook it up with an install discount or maybe some rear bumper protector for my 18th birthday on 9/14 :D
