Default $150 budget - what to get

what should i get for the car for $150? the wife is letting me spend that amount because i fought her traffic ticket for her and won...the $150 that she should have paid is now for me to spend. i can't think of much in that range besides strut bar. my car is all stock right now. i could spend more and buy a CAI, but i'm in CA and fear the cops and CARB.

i would suggest minor mods, such as painting your calipers, blacking out scion/tC emblem, do it yourself type stuff.... or try to find a good deal for Lowering Springs... I've seen the TRD lowering springs for $145, you can probably find them cheaper if you look hard enough...

hope that helps!

springs are out for now. i barely clear my driveway at stock height. i'm wondering if suspension parts like struts and sway bars are worth it on stock springs and tires.

dont think like that... think like you are going to get them now... for when ever you do have good tires and springs...

Does that really matter? I know that upgraded springs/tires will give better overall results, but adding a rear sway bay should tighten up the suspension dramatically right? It's not like the tC sits super high anyways....

He probably has money budgeted for food and gas, c'mon guys.

For $150 I say you get your windows tinted.

I would guess that putting on the sway bars is something you should wait on until/if you get lowering springs and shocks. The front strut bar isn't going to make all that much difference until that time. I've been told it doesn't make that much difference at all.

I don't have springs installed on my car (they are sitting in the corner awaiting installation though ) but I've had my TRD rear sway in for about 3 months now and I've noticed a big difference.

i do intend to spend the $150 randomly on the car, not food, not gas, not insurance or anything of that sorts. i'm getting my windows tinted soon anyways, so not that neither. i'm trying to finish my HID retrofit and writeup and enter into the august contest and *maybe* win myself a strut bar or springs. i can't get a cai since none are CARB legal and CA cops will start to crack down on these things. i can't send the $150 to any of you people... that doesn't leave much of anything to choose in the $150 +/- category. and i'd rather not spend it on comestics. any more suggestions?
