Default Fuzion tires... opinions?

Hi all... I was looking at some Fuzion HRi tires for my 17's... does anyone on here have eny experience with these or the ZRi's? I know they're made by Bridgestone and have a 40k warranty on em... A friend of mine gets them cheap so they're at the top of my list I'm leaning toward the HR's in 215/45 because I want a little more comfort and rain capability after a year of fairly punishing Nankang NS-1's in 205/40. Any opinions/reviews/thoughts on Fuzions?

My friend bought these tires in 215/45/17 for his Honda. He was not happy with them; they were noisy and didn't offer the level of grip he wanted.

Probably not a bad tire for the money. I'm just not a big Bridgestone/Firestone fan. I think they use the warranty to cover up all their problems. You also have to prove that you rotated your tires every x,xxx miles, etc, etc, to claim. I also had a set of Bridgestone RE-910's on my Neon. 70k tires that only lasted 30k with regular rotations, air pressure checks and so on. Could have claimed warranty here but those tires were so bad IMHO that I was ready for a different brand.

Anyway, here's how it compares to other tires on Tire Rack's survey:

FWIW, I purchased Yokohama H4S for my xB in 215-40-17. I'm very satisfied with them and would buy them again. They have a 500 treadwear rating and appear to be wearing very well after 4,500 miles.

Hope this helps.

Check out our "Test Results", "Customer Comments", and "Survey Results" for the Fuzion's on our site at our site at http://www.tirerack.com/a.jsp?a=DJ1&...ires/index.jsp. If you have more questions or for personal service, please feel free to give me a call. If ordering on line, please enter my name in the "Previous Contacts" area towards the end of the order and I will be glad to watch over it for you!

I don't know about the HRis, but I have a set of ZRis in 205/55/15 on my 15x7" wheels and I love them. They are perform great in both wet and dry. They also have a nice tread pattern. :D

Other close contenders in the price range are the Falken Ziex ZE-512s and the Yokohama AVS ES100s.
