Leather gear-shift cover - easy to snap back into place?

Leather gear-shift cover - easy to snap back into place?
The dealership just got done working on my car.. and forgot to do it...
Any help would be appreciated... it seems as though I can't just pop it in place without lifting the whole structure up??
A how-to would be great!
