I am beyond mad!
So a little background first. After I created my Scion online witha total cost of $15,500 and expecting maybe $1k in dealer fees, I printed up the sheet and went into my local dealer ready to leave with it that day BUT after the salesman came back with a number of $21k I laughed in his face and left. I called around and found a dealer that would give the vehicle for $16500. So I trked an hour and a half and got my car. Well everythign was fine till I noticed I was getting 19 mpg so i call my salesman and he said no problem bring it to my local dealer its under warranty and have them check it out. So I go to my local dealer and the Service Manager says to me "It is what it is" and wouldnt even look at it and told me to take my problems elsewhere. he even went as far to say my salesman shouldnt have told me to get it looked at. I had to restrain myself from punching this guy in the mouth. I later called my salesman and he apologized and said he would take care of it and gave me the number to corporate to report the service manager. So tomorrow I drive an hour and a half to get my car looked at.
Just cause you drove an hour and a half to buy your car doesn't mean you have to drive that far to get it serviced.
You need to call the Scion customer service number. They always seem to help people and they hate this kind of stuff. 1.866.70.SCION.

I would see if that dealer is part of the BBB. If they are, send in a bad report on them. Any dealer can do warrenty work, as long as they have the technicians who are certified to do it. Sounds like the guy is a poor sport & got butt hurt because he could not sale you a over optioned xB.
how is it that online it was 15,500 and not at the dealer? why are they charging so much. dont they have to stick to pure pricing? i havent bought mine yet but really need to know all of this stuff

Wow. Something is really not right here. First of all, unless the car at the first dealership had a pile of options, there is NO WAY he could charge you that much. "Pure Pricing" means it's fixed in BOTH directions. You can't talk them down, but they can't rape you either.
As for the gas milage, I don't mean to insult you, but are you sure you're calculating it correctly? A lot of people think they know how to do it, but are doing it wrong. I know milage can vary on these cars, but 19 is nuts.

From the 4 or so tanks of gas I've been through, I could almost see getting about 19 mpg if you did a lot of highway driving @ 85-95 mph. It seems to me that economy goes out the window over 65 or so. That and flooring it every time you take off from a stop, passing people like crazy, etc.
I managed a 24 mpg tank already by driving like it was stolen, but ever since, they've been going up--29, 33, 37. This is all on a bone-stock xB.
It's all about self-discipline and how you drive it. If you're getting 19 and *not* driving like a crazy person, there's got to be something wrong with it.

There are many threads on gas milage here in the forums.
Just to sum them up:
The car gets between 30-33 MPG with typical mixed driving.
Putting big wheels on the car drops that a few MPG.
Driving really fast, beating up on it, drops the MPG.
Also, until your motor breaks in, expect lower milage.
Typically after 1000 miles you will start to see the true milage
of the car, with you driving it.
Also, if they put a CAI on your car or any other engine
related perofrmace mods, make sure they installed it right.

This is all true except for the destination fee. Dealers can not charge whatever they want for destination. Destination is part of the MSRP and although it is higher in some areas the dealerships can not mess with it. They can however mess with dealer service fees in states where it is not regulated.
