Default 3m clear bras

Ive heard some people talking about getting the clear bras to protect there xbs.

my question is. does anyone actually have this product and is it noticable. is it hard to install on the car and can you notice a definate line at the edge of this product.

i would like something to protect my xb but not if it sacrifices the looks.

thank you

I did mine on my own, And yes, you can see the outer edge of the bra.....4 feet away though, you cant tell its thier.

I bought a 12" by 8 foot section of 3M Paint protection film off ebay for $45 (shipping included) and made a pattern myself for the bottom lip, and the mid-section of the bumper....

Best $45 Ive ever spent!

Excellent price, Unfocused!

I had mine professionally installed for about $260 (that's pre-cut kit and installation). There are a number of topics about this on ScionLife: THIS is one of them THIS is another. Finally, THIS is my description of my getting the film put on the front of Vanilla, my Polar White xB

In that first link above, there is this pic of Vanilla with the film highlighted in putrid purple so you can see the areas covered...

Getting the protection film on the front of an xB BEFORE there is pitting is something I recommend to everyone...

Yes, I must say that I also purchased "invisigaurd headlamp protectors" which is a clear film that is optically clear........That was $40 off ebay as well.

Let me mention that my $45 clear bra only covers from the foglamps down. Then I bought the scion bra for the hood

I have Rockblocker on mine which is a 3M product and it is worth the money having a clear bra on the box. It has saved my paint on the front end quite a few times. I would highly recommend everyone to have a clear bra installed on their xB if you want to minimize the chips & nicks on the front end. You can see the edge of the clear bra only at certain angles but for the most part you can hardly notice it.

Here are a couple images of the rockblocker (Note: these aren't my scions)

If you have any questions you can PM Rockblocker.

The line from the clear bra is not as noticable as the chips that will happen.

^^^^ What he said.

Choose one: (1) Nearly invisible lines at the edges of the protection, or (2) Road Acne...

I have the 3M protectant on my front bumper, rear bumper and door edges. I have it on all my cars, and feel it's decent protection against rock chips and bumper damage from parking.

I have a full RockBlocker kit on the front of my box and I love it.
I have taken a roadgator accross the front of my box and all it did was just leave a black smear on the RockBlocker..
if it was just paint I could see it being nasty scratches..
