Hey Pooty, I am glad your enthuised. But it is not Houston that has to bring their A game. The balls in our court now and they set the bar pretty high. We will have the advantage of not being in the heat, and being at Texas Motor Speedway, especially if we can drive on the track, We also have the advantage of seeing how they did it and how it could have been better, but they knocked it out of the park on the first try. We can't blame the heat on them. I personally can't wait and hope we can be as good a host as Houston was.

The reason it took us so long to get there were the 2 stops we made were both about 20+ Minutes. Drive time should only take about 3-3.5 hours.

I Can't wait. I am planning on leaving on Saturday evening probably around 5-6 PM. This will put us up in Dallas at around 9-10. Hit a hotel and then meet up; similar to what we did in Houston the night before Scion Expo. It would be nice to get a good caravan going up there.

About a month before the meeting, we will start getting the Hotels lined up. We will also start a Sgn up sheet for the Caravan that is going to leave on Saturday night around 5-6. We can meet on the 45N side of town to leave from there like we did when we went up there last time.

wow, didn't realize how critical people are up in here... all i was tryin to do was to introduce the idea of bringing some female models to the show... would you rather see guys? or do you have a better idea on who you'd like to see... keeping in mind, being realistic about budget & practicality... i've only seen posts how they aren't hot and over-rated, but have yet to see one alternative... i mean, i'm sure most people in this forum would rather get more excited seeing some engine swap at the show as opposed to some chick in a bikini... yet the most critical guys would be the first to flock at ANYTHING that had two legs and showed some skin... don't be such a critic if you don't have a solution

I think a 30 mile Trek around the Loop in Houston with the Freeway shut down for us will be hard to top though.

Guess we will all have to roll in together to get next to each other......Like I said on the other thread, I will be down at the Speedway the weekend before at the NASCAR race, I am staying at the Dury Inn on the airport grounds in Irving, its a little bit of a drive but its a decent hotel..I dont know of any hotels in the area, the speedway is out in the middle of know where, unless something has been biuldt in the last 6 months or so...which is possiable.

At the Scion Guys BBQ we got an update on some of the Exposed plans.
!. Preparty, Sat. night for locals and everyone ariving that night from out of town. Location to be determined.
2. Food provided by the corp sponsers at Exposed, with seating and tent. It is BarBQ and I can't remember the caterer now but it will be excellant.
3. There will be a police escorted rally to Grapevine Mills Mall where there will be a dinner. Again if I am not mistaken provided by the Corp. sponsership.
4, A group photo taken by helecopter or somehow at a now secret spot.
If you had doubts about coming, you need to reconsider. Scion is not just cars but a community. Come find out how lucky you really are to be a part of that family. If any of the information is incorrect please feel free to enter what is correct. Oh yeah Angel with Synthetic Designs, who has done most if not all the graphics for the StyleWagons and the majority of the DFW owners who have graphics, will do a car at Scion Exposed that will travel with Team Scion all over the country to other Scion events. THE GROUP PIC MAYBE VERY LIKELY THE COVER OF THE NEXT SCION BROCHURE. Come make history.

The Texas Motor Speedway is actually north of Fort Worth by 10 miles, I'd say it's 40+ miles into Dallas, and I am sure by then we will have alot of great pre-party stuff lined up! :D

dont know what the guy was actually talking about but on another hand. since ''we'' houston and dallas. put together some small shows like this wit scions help. an since dallas is having another meet for houston to show up 2. i was thinking since oklahoma and san antonio our joining in on this even. is it possible for their citys to do a scion event as well? since there pretty organized... i mean we cant leave them out since houston an dallas started this type of meet up. somthing to look forward to the years coming up perhaps.... would be intresting if they can pull it off even if its a small thing. i would like to see a state(s) wide event(s) going on....to see who reps their city best? lol somthing to ponder on just a thought.

Umm, why is this exactly like the one houston did? This is insulting and demeritting. Sorry, nothing against the guys breaking their backs who don't have any creative input in this, or the people who just wanna enjoy and support their scene, but this is quite dishonest on the part of whoever runs things imho.

This is being run by Scion and Gulf States Toyota/Scion. Besides being a large meet and the escorted rally by the police, there are differences. The rally was fun! Why not do it again? Houston did great, but it is a new day, and a different place. Gulf States was involved with Houston too. This is about having fun and being rewarded for being smart and buying a Scion. Giving Scion owners VIP treatment for a day is being dishonest?

Ok, I got a call today from Sally (Grassroots marketing manager for Gulf States Toyota).
The Pre-party will be at Club Che).
There will be a really cool prize for the Jam The Box contest. Thats where you try to fit as many people as possible in an xB.
They will be giving out trophies and, I believe, prizes for Best in Show, Best in Class, Best Crew, etc.

And, ESPN2 will there filming it all!

As everyone has seen this event will be covered by ESPN2. also we will be taking a lap around the actual track before our convoy to Grapevine. Also the Hot laps driving course has increased in size by 300%. Plenty of room for them to show you what a Scion tC is capable of doing.
Time to get pumped up for the event.
maybe someone can help us out and start a new roll call from all states to see who is coming. by the sounds of things Oklahoma is going to have a huge showing as well.

I've been working with Scions as early as Jan 04 and have enjoyed the GrassRoots Marketing that Toyota has done with this product. I'd like to take a second to introduce myself...

For whatever reason, I didn't have a chance in the beginning days of Scion to set up an id on Scion Life and enjoy chatting with you guys early on, so if I am coming to your crowd a little late, for that I apologize.

I would like to however, let you know that when it comes to Scion and the Dallas Metroplex, we strive hard to show up in full effect for everything. The DJ Qbert thing - we were there with Jeff (sportcityscion) and Evolution. We went to Scion Exposed in Austin in Dec 04. Whenever Jeff will host something, we try to swing by. I think I can remember about 18 different Scion events we did over the summer along with CASA 106.7 and my boys at Purgatory and Club Che. All Scion based - all owners of Scion based. I was able to meet some really good people who have turned into customers for life as well.

Getting that introduction out of the way, here are the official things you will need to know about The Pre Party for Saturday Night the 12th.

If you have heard, the official Pre Party for the Exposed event will take place at Club Che, Saturday Night, November 12th from 10p - 2a. Club Che is located at 10333 Technology Blvd in Dallas. Their website is www.clubche.com for details and directions. We chose this club for the venue, the style, the music, and the location.

Our store, Scion of Richardson, will be the official sponsor of this pre party. I encourage you to bring your Scions as this is an owners event. If you like hip hop, my good friends Jason Gonong and his crew will make this event one to remember.

I do have a surprise up my sleeve for you owners out there. Parking and Club Fees are being negotiated right now for like the first 50 people (scion owners only) to get in.

A list is being developed as we speak. To get your name on this list, please call me at (214) 336-1612 to rsvp. YOU MUST OWN A SCION AND BRING IT TO THE EVENT TO QUALIFY. We will also work out a time frame that you must be present in order to get in complimentary.

Give me a time frame when you know you will be there and we'll all show up together. My excitement is to see 50 Scions pull up to the Club all in one shot. I know Scion corporate will love that as well.

On the Club's Information:

Age: 21 and Up
Dress Code:

Guys - Jeans, Black Shoes, NO SNEAKERS OR HATS. It's a dress to impress place - so do what you want, but keep it real. to you thugs - I feel ya, but the bouncers at the doors aren't gonna be about gang wear - so be careful.

Girls - Feel free to wear Jeans and whatever. Once again, no sneakers or gang wear. I know Scion means be an individual, so do your thing. In fact, I think dress codes were made for guys - you know. I've never seen any club really stop a girl from wearing whatever she wanted - I guess it's the whole we want more girls in our club than guys thing.

A little insight to the VIP list...these are my thoughts so far.

Meet up around 10p at a parking lot close to the club. Allow about 10-15 minutes for people to show up. Arrange the cars with our staff to insure everyone will pull up in a row. The entrance is a little tricky and if you miss it, you have to go all the way around.

We will have (4) people (my staff) with walkie talkies positioned...1 at the door of the club, 1 at the entrance to the parking lot of the club, 1 with me, and 1 in the last car. My staff will be in constant contact to make sure all of the 50 cars will pull up at the same time.

This is a coordinated effort and should be alot of fun. Imagine 50 scions pulling up to a club all at once - it will be recognized and fun to be pulling up and stepping out of your car when you pull in, then you can walk right up and in to the club. Sort of like a VIP. We will try hard to make this party fun for you.

So that's what I'm thinking so far - what are your thoughts - let me know.

The Jazmin you speak of (Streetcandy), husband Wil works for Humperdinks in Richardson, but there is a Hump very near Club Che. Some peeps may want to meet there earlier to get something to eat before Club Che. I don't know if we could get all 50 cars in their lot, to meet but it may be possible,

According to some past events I've done, we want to all come in together. Otherwise, I'll have to spend all night at the door checking people in with the valet and the door guy - what fun that would be!! Just Kidding - no I worked one event that we did in the summer and you had people coming in all night at different times and it was a hassle with the door guys. Past a certain point in the night, the door guys started rejecting people to come in - so I had all these upset people and all.

Anyhow, the rolling in together is the free part. If you want to go in earlier, you can, but it's $10 to get in and $5 to valet.

At night, the club's parking lot and Humperdink's lot is sectioned off making it near impossible to get out of one parking lot into another. I was planning on the AMC movie theater parking lot further down the street (on Technology Blvd). But I'm still working on that idea.

The Jam the xB contest actually takes place at the Scion Exposed Event happening at the Speedway on Sunday. Sorry :(

Ok, so today was a busy busy day for the rsvp list. I have 28 free valet spots/free entry left. Scion Owners - don't wait. If StyleWagon's website is current, then there are a few people that need to check in.

Bret - from Joe Myers, Jeff from Sport City RSVP'd you - but if you are bringing those other 6 or so people - they need to check in as soon as possible.

So, since this a plus-one thing, your dealership is paying for 50 Scions to park and 100 people max. to get in right?

I just want to make sure everyone is clear on it. If what I stated is not true, I''ll edit it.

To answer a few of the questions on the Plus +1 thing.

I spoke with the club and this is what we are doing.

Now, since we are sponsoring this thing, and I know ALOT of people want to come to this event. I also know that the first people that RSVP should be given the right to bring whomever they please, BUT I've done several events in the past, and this is what we are doing, to clear it up.

IF YOU OWN A SCION, TO PROVE OWNERSHIP, WHEN YOU RSVP, I'M ASKING WHAT KIND OF SCION YOU HAVE AND WHAT COLOR. WHEN WE MEET UP BEFORE WE HEAD TO THE CLUB, I'LL CHECK IN ALL THE SCIONS ON THE LIST WITH WHO YOU ARE AND WHAT YOU ARE DRIVING.

TO KEEP THIS SIMPLE, ONLY SCION OWNERS CAN TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE FREE ENTRY AND FREE VALET. SINCE WE ARE PAYING FOR ALL OF THAT, THE 50 FREE SPOTS AND FREE ENTRY APPLY ONLY TO SCION OWNERS.

THE PLUS +1 IDEA CAME UP SO YOU WOULDN'T UPSET YOUR SPOUSE OR SIGNIFICANT OTHER. AS MUCH AS I WOULD LOVE TO PAY FOR EVERYONE TO GET IN, I DO HAVE A BUDGET AND A MAX AMOUNT TO HANDLE.

SO, IF YOU HAVE A SIGNIFICANT OTHER OR G/F OR B/F, WE WILL LET YOU BRING THEM WITH YOU.

IF YOU PACK YOUR SCION WITH ANYONE ELSE, THEY CAN EXPECT TO PAY THE $10 COVER WHEN THEY ARRIVE. OUR DOOR CREW WILL BE VERY STRICT ON THIS TOPIC.

AND PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT WE WANT PEOPLE TO COME, BUT WE CAN'T PAY FOR EVERYONE. AND AT $10 AN ENTRY WITH $5 TO PARK, YOU CAN IMAGINE THAT OVER 50 PEOPLE WILL ADD UP QUICKLY.

THIS IS WHY WE WILL MEET UP AHEAD OF TIME AND ENTER IN A COORDINATED EFFORT. MY STAFF AT THE PARKING LOT WILL CHECK YOU IN AND GIVE YOU A TAG FOR YOUR DASHBOARD. THIS WILL TELL THE VALET GUYS THAT YOU ARE WITH US.

so what if you bring your significant other and your a guy and so is your boyfriend can you not bring cause its not technically a girlfriend or wife.... uummmm..... i have a problem with that....... cause.................uuummmmm.....lol...... j/k...... just giving you a hard time .............. that would be funny though....
