Are these considered add-ons for performance enhancement only?

I mean, I dont really care about performance a whole lot, but will a C.A.I make my engine last longer? Better mpgs?

IMHO! Increasing performance with a CAI should save gas. Will it be a noticeable amount, probably not! Engine lasting longer, again possibly, but with it being a Toyota, it should be good for 200K+ The easier you are on any engine the longer it should last.
