Yeah a lot of people have them already. I have a set that I have yet to install. Post some pics when they are in. Quick question: Why not do the install yourself?

There is no real electrical to do.. Just more removal of the front bumper assembly.
4 bolts and the headlamps come out.

Anyone had problems with their Halos "fogging"? I was looking into getting some, but I've heard several people complain about one or both of their headlight assemblies "fogging".

After having "Pro's" screw up several upgrades, I did the headlights myself. Real easy, but helps if you have another person. No fogging and have been in since early May.

Where did you get your head lights from?

Ya, they fog.

I keep hoping someone will come out with some that are a little better quality.

I got some halo headlights sitting right here next to me. I can't install it myself cuz I don't know how and Toyota wants to charge $250 to do it. Anyone know where I can get a pro to install it for less? Somewhere in the bay area, CA?

I was going to do it myself but it got harder rather than easier after I took off the top of the grill and bumper. Any help would be much appreciated. I am desperate! I am willing to pay/barter/kill/cheat/lie/steal... did I mention kill?

I won this thing on eBay a few weeks ago and it's torturing me that I can't get it installed! Aaargh!!!

By the way anyone going to Marine World on 9/16 thanks to Scion?

https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=5078 would help you remove your current head lights & install of new would be oposite. The only thing is wiring up the angle eyes if there is extra wires for that.

They are not hard to install at all. Just a very little bit of wiring to do on the halos.

Hotbx,

It is not that hard, but having two sets of hands really helps. I'd help you out (for free) if I lived nearby, but I'm all the way in Chicago.

I got the lights at a store in Chicago. I probably could have got them for less on ebay, but I didn't feel like waiting. Could this be the reason why they do not fog? Hmmmmmm...........

The ones you have look different than the ones I have seen on eBay.

Can you turn the angel eyes on independently of the other bulbs in the headlight assembly, or is it just on/off for the whole assembly?

If you can't handle installing something like your headlights, try and find another Scion enthusiast in your area who will install them for a case of beer. Headlights are easy to do on these cars... the bumper is a snap to remove...

Remember, if you pay someone $200 to install something, you are out $200. Do it yourself and spend $200 on more parts, or tools so that you can do more complex jobs. If you are unsure how to do something, simply do a little research(for God's sake, search), or ask in the appropriate forum. None of us want to see someone screwed out of their money.

D_III thanks for offering for free but since you're in IL and I'm in CA that just tortures me even more! gawd looking at the pics of this xB with the halos on it is bad enough! anyway chicago eh? I've never been but it may be worth the trip (= haha just kidding- but i do love the b96 throwdowns!

yea it may not be that hard but i just get frustrated easily. i got the top half of the bumper off and then i broke part of original light trying to pull it out so i quit and decided to outsource for some help. hopefully i'll find a just as generous xB enthusiast in my 'hood

When you say angel eyes are you refering to the halo or the eyebrow? The halo (inner ring) is wired to the rest of the assembly, so it comes on with the lights (whether you use the regular of high-beams). The eyebrow (angled line above the lights) has a seperate wire that you can hook up to anything you want. I have it tied into the side turn signal line, so it alternates with the turn signal lignt in the front.

I was referring to the rings/halos. I was thinking it would be cool to be able to turn the halos on by themselves for use instead of "parking lights" when it's not dark enough outside to need full headlights...
