I got most of the stuff to turbo my xb but I was wondering does anyone know about any engine management. I know greddy and rev hard are trying to come out with kit, but their taking too long. I already helped my friend make his kit and its so cool, but no engine management. We only got on it a couple of times just to see if the car pulled better, and man it felt like a built gsr... pulls nice, and you can feel the vvti kick in! Only four pounds, and the car runs good without boost'n, but when you do the car leans out. And with no return fuel system you can't do it like a honda, so that's were Im at. any help would be nice!!! :P

ask peppy he is building his own turbo also. Also try e.l. prototype
Im not sure what you think is kicking in its not the variable cam timing. you must be having a surge /boost problem. The scions do not have a dual variable cam set-up , my matrix does and it hits pretty hard it would be nice if the scions did but they dont, but you are experiancing somthing else.

i'm telling you what i'm doing for feuling but one otpion is an E FMU since you can't use a regular FMU b/c the fuel system is returnless you can you an E FMU , you install another fuel pump that is hooked up to a controller and it pulses to fuel pump to add more fuel as boost goes up

just curous... why do turbo kits cost less than supercharger kits? isn't there more parts needed for a turbo kit?i saw greddy turbo kit somewhere listed for 1600 i think, maybe i was wrong, but i know it was in the 1400-1800 range (said it wasn't released yet though), but then you got PE and Blitz supercharger kits for over 3 grand. why the big difference in price?

generally a supercharge cost more than a turbo b/c the actual supercharger is more expensive than the turbo, a turbo is like $700 while a supercharger can be $1500-2000 just for the charger

try greddy e-manage w/ a profec eo-1. you should be able to do some fuel map adjustments, control boost and a few other things. e-manage is about $400 or so the eo-1 is right under $1000.

Actually the E-01 is around $500. I got mine off Ebay, brand new, for $485. The E-manage would be the best way to go for a piggy-back since it actually has 16x16 fuel and spark maps you can change.

Yea dude..you DO need to learn more.
VVTI doesn't "kiCk iN yO!" like you describe--it's freakin continuous, not like your 85 civic with M4d VtEk YO!!1.
Noone is hating--just trying to correct your false claims. So instead of lying, just tell the truth next time.

the problem with the emanage is you can't mess with the timing

You can pick up a old apex ITC for that. 8)

then you are just adding more piggyback ____, at that point you might as well go standalone

You can adjust factory timing +/- 20 degrees in 1 degree increments. I think you have to buy an extra harness to hook it up though.

Minimal differences, most of which are options/standard equipment.
That surging is probably the turbo spooling, but if it's any higher in RPMs than 2-3,000, you need to figure out what the hell you're doing with a turbo.
