I only have <50 & will be slapping on about $1k worth of parts tomorrow. If I can get my tires mounted to my wheels, then it will be $1.6k worth of parts. As long as you still take it easy (break in driving) you can add parts when every.

wow, from a 5.8 to a 1.5. You know that your gas budget has gotten smaller. Props to your new purchase, see you on the boards. :D

Was the 5.8 even available in the F350? I thought there was just the 7.3L Power stroke turbo and the newet 6.0L that came out in '03.

I think there was also something like a 6.x V10 for the guys who dont like the power strokes.

He didn't mention what year the F350 was. 96' was the last year for the 5.8. It either had the 5.4 Modular V8,the V10 or the powerstroke. Either way he'll be better off with the xB My E350 van with the 5.4L only gets 15 MPG

We still have the E450 with the V10 - I can stroke 9+ mpg out of it by trying to keep it from dropping out of overdrive. But keeping up with the trucks on the highway will net me about 6.3mpg. But it has a 'home' sitting on the chasis. So far, this summer, I drove it to town for inspection. TheWife took it for a short jaunt. Other than that it'll probably only leave the driveway one - maybe two - more times this fall. I think the payment is more than the mortgage
By the way - it rides worse, and rattles more than the xB
