my taillights are getting little cracks in them around the reverse light (the clear part) or the taillight. i know it's not from the cold cause it isn't that cold around here to be cracking stuff. am i under warranty on this? i don't wanna sound like an idiot and go there and say replace it if it's not under warranty. the cracks look to be on the inside cause when i run my finger over it, it's still smooth, but then again they aren't gigantic cracks. it's like spiderweb style. anyone else have this problem?

did u try to clean it with acetone?

nah, haven't cleaned them with anything but soap and the bulbs are stock. one taillight has it worst than the other... take it to toyota and ask them?

ah.. my brother used some bug & tar remover on them cause there was some sticky crap on it... will that stuff crack it?

i know aftermarket bulbs could do this because they get hotter, but it shouldnt happed with stock bulbs. dealer time.

just for knowledge, will that crack plastic? i thought it was safe to use on it, it don't eat the paint off my car cause i used it to get off that sticky stuff that the dealer has all over the cars when they're new. i know acetone will freeze and crack the plastic for sure, but didn't think bug & tar remover would. :?:

its under warranty..
taillights, and even if your headlights fog up its under warranty(i took advantage of that)

but keep in mind you can't have any modification to it when you bring it in or else it's void. goodluck and keep us all posted

called toyota and they're gonna replace my taillights tomorrow... i like warranties :P
