Default MY RS1 WAS CRASHED BY A KID

I took my RS1 to to church as i was participating in a youth group event. Well a kid took the keys to my rs and decided to go for a joy ride..he must have taken em from my desk while i was in the restroom. I know i should have been more careful, but i didnt expect a underage kid without a permit to take my car, take it 95 on a regular road, spin it out of control, and crash the front left wheel into the curb. The axle is broken, the wheel is broken and the tires are probably too worn out to use now. I dont know what else is damaged because it was around 11 at night when it happened and I couldnt really see. I have yet to take it from the yard and find out how much damage he caused. Should i just forget about the car? What if there are problems that i cant see now that will come up in the future because of this? His parents are willing to pay for all damages. Should i get another car?

Well if parents are gonna pay for everything... one cover your put turn it into insurance.... only way to make sure they will pay for it....

If theres no realy body damage take it to a dealer let em fix it

"one cover your put turn it into insurance"--- WTF?

Let the kids parents pay for the damage, no ins claim, seems like an easy decision to me.... sorry that happened though, at church too!-whew that sux

the solution is simple.... get their insurance information, call your insurance company and make note of the incident. Tell them that you want to open a case file from the accident but you want to give them a chance to pay without going through insurance. Your insurance company will follow up every two weeks to make sure everything is going correctly, and if they decide not to pay, the accident is on record and they attack the other insurance company. Have done it for both of my accidents

I would keep the same car since it is an RS1. Seems like a waste to let that go.

I'd have the parents buy the car if possible. Forget "fixing the damages. What if there's more problems down the road because of the accident?

If they give ya any trouble about paying...simply remind them that technically the child stole your car.

WOW!!! that kid needs to attent more classes at church apparantly he was sleeping during or something. "Thall shalt not steal" maybe he thought since he was borrowing it he wasnt commiting a sin?

In all honesty.....It sucks that it's an RS1...but in the back of my head all the time would be WHAT IF THIS HAPPENS, WHAT IF.....etc...if it was me..i would see about getting a new one, because i would worry about it all the time.

BUT! before anything take it to the body shop and let them tell you what exactly is wrong with it, then you can decide from there.

i should....i was wonderin, does anyone know how much an anxle will cost? how about labor for installin it or wutever. i was thinkin about making them pay for the suspension upgrade i was going to do as payment for all the time spent fixing a car that shouldnt have been wrecked in the first place, much less by a 13 yr old.
