The xb, bB in Japan has been in existence since 2001. So this year, 2006, means xB's were available for about 5 years. Are we getting close to a new xB? 2007 year maybe? What do you guys think?

I am hearing next model year

This seems to be the last year for the Echo platform. The new small Toyota for the US market is being introduced in the spring of 06. So it's logical to surmise that the '07 xA and xB will be based on the new platform.

This doesn't surprise me. More surprising would be if they introduce a new box and also change the name. In the US market, labels matter.

this has been discussed many times...they will not make a new "model" of the xB. They are just gonna come out with a new car. They decided to do this to keep the line fresh and hip! Not just same old Camry or Corolla like toyota...there was a big article on it just to lazy to search for it.
