As most of you know we changed the design of our S-pipe so that it would work with the Alpha Work headers. We have been waiting on these to come in.

All pending orders will be filled first and then we should have about 30 left in stock.

All new orders most specify what header they are running.

hey kenny, i don't know if you remember me or not but i'm one of the guys that has the old s-pipe that won't mate up to the AW header. what should i do?

Ok so why should I pay more and get your s-pipe over the creativecompacts s-pipe that will ship out tomorrow if I order it now? What benefits will I get over theirs?

Oil overheating? Whats that all about???

 

Someone correct me if im wrong but im pretty sure its because of the location were the s-pipe is and were the oil pan is located.

 

Hmm well I was under my car today but I dont remember how close it was. The stock one DOES have heat shielding though so maybe since this new one doesnt, it might get hotter in that area. Sounds about right but they both seem designed about the same and I wouldnt think a slight change in design could make a huge difference in heat but perhaps Im wrong.

 

exactly. the s-pipe is very hot and when its located closer to your oil pan, it can actually work to heat the oil pan. which is a very very bad thing

 

Quick question and i know its off topic matt but did you get the s-pipe upgrade?

 

Is there any way to shield the heat away from the pan? Something out there on the market you can just "stick" to the area around the pipe? You could just wrap it but since the pipe is so exposed there would be no doubt that it would be destroyed quickly by trapped moisture. Hmm...

 

yes I did. i personally got the creative compacts stainless (should be here any day ) because i got a great deal on it. i will have a review thread once it's installed (this week i hope).
