Well we have a opening at our Charleston branch for a branch manager I put in my resume so we shall see how it goes and what kinda pay etc... goes along that will determine whether its worth it or not plus that is if I get interviewed for it....

i dont personally own a scion but i have a friend from round o that just bought a 06 xa and is is the beginning stages of fixing it up to show hopefully within the next yr his is silver with the charcoal / silver interior so far the mods are a bazooka party pack subwoofer system installed by circuitcity the day he pechased the car future mods are kicker 6 1/2 components front doors and coxial kickers in the back doors .....then from there as money allows he wants to do more any suggestions are apreciated :)

my friend that just recently bought a scion xa is lookin for a place where we can hang with other scion owners for ideas and stuff im bout 10 minutes from rivers ave kmart and friends in round o if ya'll let me know what time ya'll meet maybe we can come down there and meet ya'll ,,, btw friend is also lookin into hotel motel res for the weekend of july 8-9 and planning to show his car if he has enuff dun to it by then :)

i made a oops on the past post lol when i was saying we are lookin at hotel motels prices friend and me are headed to nopi in rockinghan july 8-9 next yr i saw on the nopi site where if ya belong to a scion club and pay for showing ya ride that scion will reimberse ya at the gate if ya pay by plastic cash :D

As far as "the bad side of town" comment, i hate to be derogatory but like i said this is an underground car meet that people with all kinds of cars meet up and it moves all the time on sat some of us met up at the old sam's club parking lot and then drove over to the kmart parking lot off of rivers. There were a lot of different cars there subarus, rx7s, civics, slammed trucks everything!! I'm glad that you guys would like to start up a meet in charleston but there already is one . seriously though if you don't mind me asking "Vampirecowboy" how old are you? Some of the comments made by you has lead me to ask that question. Not that there is anything wrong with it , it's just that honestly if something weren't "safe" I myself wouldn't be involved in it and not to mention this is off of Rivers ave with a whole load of cars so I don't really think something so dangerous would come out of it. i have seen people bring there kids to it and we are all there for pretty much one purpose and that is to see other people's cars and meet people that are in to the same things. not to mention the bottom line is that is where the cars are! If you guys want to meet up that's where we all meet and if you don't that's fine i respect that . It's not like we can fit 50 cars in a back alley somewhere. Think about it.

i would have to agree, and knowing a lot of the people that go to these meets I would have to say more than a few would feel the same way. we all meet in the same place but we're all there with the cars that are the same as ours.

lemme guess the bad area of town consists of the liquor store and the small lil grocery store that sells old food.

Anyways, we can just meet up where ever everyone else meets up. It could be at Sams or at the Kmart. You never know until you actually get there. We change locations alot. I go almost every other weekend and I never go any earlier than 9:00. Out of all the times I've gone to these meets I've never seen any drama.

Look no one is saying that they don't like you or that they want to "kick you out" of anything. It is not my place to do that.

how far is that from charleston? i have an 06 tC also. what all did you get in your? i got mine bone stock.

I think its about 124 miles, you get on 26 to 95 north then you take the I-20 Spur East exit toward exit160A. I think its about 2 hours away.

so the Cops will prolly roll us out, so be looking for a new locale.

the club i am in meets at Sams (during the daylite, Danny) early on, then rolls out to dinner, then splits and rolls thru Kmart to check in with each other throughout the night.

the owner is on another forum with me, he might let you guys in to make some passes "as a group" during a TNT (test n tune) regular session. my other club can teach you guys how to run, if you have never.

BTW, what are the laws on lighting down there? I have a underbody kit, and cold cathodes in the hang on handles, under the seats, in the trunk area, and in the engine area. Would any or all of these be legal to have on at night?

My color set up is yellow so i dont think that I should have a problem. Thanks for the info. I am guessing that it is state wide right? Cause I might be spending a few days in columbia also.

im not sure if it is statewide or not but you shouldnt have any troubles with yellow. i do know the tubes have to be concealed. if you can see them from a reasonable distance then its iffy but like i said....ive had red and blue and never had an issue. if you get worried just turn them off.

if you are driving around the ones outside will probably be okay but they could argue that the ones inside are a distraction to other drivers. same reason you aren't supposed to drive around with your dome or map lights on.

That is messed up, lmao. I would like someone to explain to me from the gov how a light inside the car would be a distraction to another driver, but one outside that is easier to see is not. Our state laws are messed up, lol.

There is going to be an Auto X in Myrtle beach this Sunday. Hope I see some scions out there. Cammie raced at the last one in N. Charleston last month. She wasnt the only xb out there. There was a brown and gold one too. He did really good. Cammie drove good too.

Hey Scott, really good to hear from you. We've really gotten into autocrossing and loving it. So far I'm 3rd in the state for STX class. What did you replace the tc with?

I got a Mitsu Lancer GTS in Graphite Gray. Its no RallyArt or Evo X but it is so nice! Got it with sun roof, Rockford Fausgate Sound system, and Nav and technology package! We just had an Auto X event here, but i didnt get to go! have to move! gonna go next year though!

Yeah thats cool, then you can see how that Lancer really handles.

It drives great, Las Vegas is like one giant street rally. people drive crazy around here! Way worse then in Charleston! Like a year long practice between events! lol
