AC autotechnics oil adapter for '05 xB

Has anyone successfully installed this oil adapter on their '05 xB with parts supplied with the billet adapter? PLEASE let me know if I have bought something I can't use, or if I need to rig something to it in order to get the billet piece tight against the engine block. Is there a difference between the '04 and '05 oil filter thread(length) that I need to know about???Help!!!

I don't think any of the tC people have installed it on an xB...

Moved to xB...

Yes, I have it on my xb. It works like a dream. I think that you probably got the wrong filter thread adapter. There are several styles of filters out there even in the Toyota stable. I would send the piece back and have then send the right one.
