Got my Hot Lava box two days ago and was wondering what people have been using to clean the interior of the xB. Since the dash is textured, I would think that a spray would not work well.
Suggestions?
Thanks.

if you're looking to get the dust off and the marks out without adding the shine of amour all.. try a swifter sweeper sheet. It works great.

I use a small california car duster for the interior and a large one for the out side they work great and no residue.

i don't like the shiny dash, so i just wipe it down with a cloth diaper or terry cloth towel.

I use a product called Black Chrome. Works great on this type of dash and interior parts and isn't all Crisco-greasy like Armor All. It does make everything pretty slick tho, so don't do your pedals or steering wheel and sparingly on the shifter.

Scrubbing bubbles bathroom cleaner......works great on all interior plastics, will not leave a residue and is cheap.

i use a polishing cloth [soft cotton] that is slightly damp....it picks up the dust and makes it look nice!

I found a product for the interior that I just love:
Meguiar's Mirror Glaze Vinyl & Rubber Cleaner/Conditioner (uv40)
Natural luster - avoids the typical shine of conventional protectants.
The dash and side doors were so dry that any type of cloth or dash duster, including lint-free ones, left lint everywhere. When I sprayed this on the surfaces, I could see it getting soaked up. The dash and sides now have more of a satiny feel, with no shine, just a "luster", and the lint no longer sticks to it as before.

I WOULD NEVER SUGGEST USING THIS FOR A CARS INTERIOR! You would have to be F*ing nuts to use this bathroom cleaner on the interior of your car. If you read the back of the can, it states that if not properly rinsed off, it will etch the finish, and this is for fiberglass tubs!
Cleaning is my living, and i say no to Scrubbing Bubbles to do the interior. Here is what i suggest you use on your interior. Go any store and grap a bottle of Simple Green. If you have a spare spray bottle, thats great too, to use for a 1:10 mixture. Use full strength Simple Green for tough stains like coffee, chocolate, candy, grime, etc. Use a solution of 1 part S.G. and 10 parts water. Spray a clean terry cloth with it and wipe your entire dash down. This will pick up all the little peices of lint and not leave any residue behind.

I pick up my xB tonight and plan to see what a microfiber cloth will do.

thanks scifire i went and picked some of this up (pricey 8.99) and you were right it works excellent! i highly recomend it to anybody looking to optimize the interior plastics looks. My glove box was looking really lousy with numerous scratches but this stuff really cleaned it up. no the scratches arent completely gone but most of them are indestinguishable now. Thought the price is a bit steep its the best interior product ive ever used. plus everthing looks deeper amost blackish instead of dark grey. i dunno hard to explain it unless you see it. Even application is a must since the difference is soooo stark.

Go with the Meguiars Mirror Glaze and use a Swiffer beforehand. You interior will look like when you bought it. Meguiars makes a great product, I swear by it. Their site also has lots of useful tips.
