Scion in 6 months?
Well, my current plan to obtain me a xB has been shotdown by the father parental...i guess its for the best but i was extremely excited and now im somewhat angry...see, my plan was that i would give them the downpayment that i have saved up for ($1500) and my dad would co-sign for me because i have no credit or anything...but now he says i must wait 6 months. Why you ask? well, i start college tomorrow (ITT), which includes a fairly large loan.. and he wants me to show him that i am going to do good, he also wants me to obtain a part-time job to help with the payments, which i think is fair, im just a little disappointed but oh well, im just worried about the availability of a xB 6 months from now, i worry about that kind of stuff alot...
what are you going to ITT for? if its computers your probably better off going to a community college and paying a LOT less... if its electronics, well, they are usually fairly decent at that depending on the instructors at the place... but seriously you can find something better for cheaper...
screw ITT, get an xB...
and dont worry im sure there will be enough xB's to go around for everyone...

Im going to ITT for their electronics program, i met the teacher there and he seems extremely intelligent so i dont think undereducated-educators will be a problem, i wouldnt goto a college for computers anyway, i know them inside out, hardware/software what have you. Tthere are 2 community colleges near me, but unfortunatly they dont have crap for classes. I want to goto college, as out of 3 kids im the onlu one to goto college so far...(1 bro, 1 sis, bro is 21, sister is 13..) so i kind of want to show some kind of responsibility for my life heh...
I believe they are physically connected. If there is no Scion dealership with the Toyota, I don't imagine that they could order it for you. Some Toyota dealers do not carry Scions. I don't know if this was their choice, or upper management.

Most the dealers around me chose not to spend the 100,000 dollars to become a Scion Dealer. One city is also a college town... Go figure.
When the time gets closer just take your build sheet from the Scion site with you and it will tell them what you want. If you want one bad you may have to take one from their inventory or just have them add something you want if they have a plain one. Good luck and I hope the time goes by fast for you. I had to wait 3 months for mine and it seemed like forever. Good Luck!

wooooh, i in no way want it just handed to me nononono, i thought i said i was going to work for it..college...job.... anyway, if that is the case jethro if they had a bone stock 5 spd on the lot that was brand spankin new i would take it regardless of color, actually the only option i chose on the one i built up was the TRD lowering springs...
i was told by a scion dealer that they have to be certified to sell the scions. if your toyota isnt a scion dealer then they probobly arent certified to sell them. there were only two poeple on the lot who were certified who could help me. interesting in my opinion.
six months goes by really fast especially if your in a school like itt. anyways just work hard and youll get that xb in no time.

In order to sell Scions there is an investment of like $100,000 plus to cover the display and all the other stuff involved. That is why all the rural Toyota dealers around me chose not to. They didn't feel like they would be able to make back the initial investment.
sounds like you have good parents. alot of parents spoil thier kids just to shut them up. your dad sounds like he has good morals and believes in hard work which will pay off in the end, trust me. take care bro and look forward to getting your xB. who knows, by that time you might have changed your mind and want something else. i seriously doubt it...but its a possibility. :D
