Hi All, I'm New and am waiting for my new 2006 TCM xB. I took alot of time to think about this purchase and want to let all of you know that I referred to this forum daily to help make my mind up. I've been a previa mini-van mom for the last 15 years and wanted a change but still able to haul my girls around. Needless to say i won't be trick'in my ride out but I do enjoy all of the helpful information found on this forum. so please don't shun me cause I'm not going to Pimp my Ride. thanks

Was that the same Previa that lasted 15 years? Not bad! Nothin' wrong with minivans. I have one, and an xB, for max flexibility.

You'll love your xB. Congratulations, and don't worry about keeping it stock. Not everybody here's all about image. The Box is the best combination of fun and practicality you'll find, just as it stands.

Hello and welcome. I'd also like to say nothing wrong with minivans. I've had many diaper changes in them. Not recently though.LOL

We have 2 previas, a '91 and a '95. The '91 is on it's last legs and I'm not sure it will pass inspection in Jan. It has well over 200,000mi. The '95 is i the 111.000 range of miles and is still in good working order. My husband commutes to/from work in a '04 corolla. Needless to say we believe in toyota products. I'm very excited about my new box and can't wait to get it.

Well, I ordered it on Friday 9/2 and they told me 10 to 14 days. I have the vin #, gave them $500 down and ordered the keyless entry as the only extra. I mentioned the cabin air filter and the salesman said he will make sure that one is in place.(I got that tip from this site by the way). I know that I want the spoiler and the armrest but may do that myself. So I'm waiting by the phone for the call.

ahh come on lunch lady, you sound like the type to throw 19" wheels, slam it on air bags and dump thousands of useless dollars into a vehicle used to transport children from point A to point B! matter fact, throw a turbo kit on it and this way you can get them from A to B even quicker! :D

haha, just kiddin and welcome to the scion family. glad to have you around. you are really going to enjoy your new car/truck/wagon.

no, havn't checked insurance yet. I have USAA (ex military brat) but I'm sure they will be fair. They are one of the few Co. that insure NJ drivers. They are going to do my finacing too. 4.49% adjustable pre-approved and just awaiting the call. By the way, according to this forum you get better milage with 15'' wheels than 19''. jk lol

Ok so I got the call this evening.....It's ready for pick-up tomorrow AM. I'm so excited I don't know what to do! Any way I've asked alot of questions and figured out some of the goodies I'm going to get for my TCM box. Thanks for all of your input Now I have to think of a good license plate for it. I was thinking of FLATOP, XB4ME, TALBX or TOYBX. That's the only thing left to do now, so thanks for all your help and I'll let you know how I like it P.S. I don't know if i'm computer lliterate to send a pic....we'll see

Because I'm going to get an Animal Friendly specialty plate and can only use 5 charaters. The animal friendly plates here have the Comic Strip "Mutts" charaters on them and are very cute. I know too much time on my hands

OK so I drove off of the lot at 11:25am this morning in my brand new 2006 TCM xB!!! It had 1 mile on the ODO! There were a few minor glitches, wait time, wrong hubcaps, no cabin air filter, but for all of my trouble I now have free Lifetime oil changes for as long as I own the car! Not too bad So now I'm offical wooohooo!

You just want a basic xB, no mods. Then you slowly tell us the mods you are putting on, and going to put on. You have the mod bug. You just may restrain it more than some of us on this site. Have fun with the xB, and congratulations on the purchase.

Dang! Now I'm all CAMO with envy!! Mine won't be here until the end of the month....

You won't be the only one here with a stock xB; I'm planning to keep mine stock too.

(I did order mine with the spoiler and fog lights -- but those are both PRACTICAL options!)
