In a response to an email I sent concerning my hope for a stealthbox for our tC's, here is what I emailed and what the replied....

From me:

Hey, I was curious JL Audio would be bringing the stealthbox to the
Scion tC? As a tC owner, I have very little space for speakers (Namely,
the 12w3v2 is what I hope to end up buying). There are Scion
entheusists out there custom fabbing sub enclosures fitting in the right
rear of the tC's trunk. Does JL currently have plans to make a
stealthbox for the tC, or in the near future. This would greatly sway
my decision of JL products (of which I have had great experiance in the
past) over another competitors product (of which some of these custom
enclosures are being made specifically for).

Thanks for taking the time to read and respond,
- Alex

Good morning Alex,
We are very interested in building a Stealthbox model for the Scion tC.
However we are presently buried in other projects that will likely keep us
busy until the first part of next year. Availability could be in March 06 if
all goes well. Keep in touch, I promise it'll be worth the wait!
Sincerely,
Don Vertrees

Looks like it might be planned but not very soon. I say we start buggering them to start the process sooner! :tap:

i doubt they will start the process sooner. They have plenty of money as-is.

but march of 06 isnt that far away

i dont think it would be profitable for JL to make a stealthbox when the bazooka box already exists, although theJL would hit harder. you can find the bazooka box for upper 200's while the stealthbox would cost 400-500. does the bazooka box have a built in amp? i dont think the stealthbox does (the one in my GTI didnt). now i wonder if you can replace the 10" sub in the bazooka box.

i would take a JL audio box over a bazooka ANY DAY! I hope they come up with one, that would be great..

Yeah, they got back to me in like 12 hrs. Nice to know they were kind enough to not spin me a line of BS.

I'd like to see a stealthbax for the xB . . . something that fits under the cargo compartment in the back.

I don't know how this guy stuck in xA/xB ICE. Someone move please.

JL Audio now has one for the tC - not sure how I feel about it:

Anyone have an opinion? I was hoping they'd do a side-mount one. This one raises the floor almost 3 inches and limits the back seat reclining.

EDIT: Sorry, I found a better thread.
