ok so i have grown to the point of where i love to clean my white wheels, and i have heard that painting them isnt all that hard but it takes a lot of time...i understand that and am willin to ride steeles while i do this....but i want to know what all yall think...here are my fusion re5's...im thinkin of doin them flat black...oh and powdercoating is out of the question because for the amount i would be paying for that i would be spend more money than what i paid for the wheels, and i dont have the money for that....

mask off everything.. everything you dont want paint on.. and then clean the rim up real good.. go get engine enamel from AutoZone.. the color is Low-Gloss Black.. give light coats, evenly, and then keep applying, let dry and itll come out flat black.. you can leave it like that and when they scratch and just reapply and have no problems whatsover.. i have a celica that i painted the rims 3 years ago with that stuff and its STILL on there, through rain and snow, everything.. and they are fine.. or if you want shiny ness and risk the paint job cuz sometimes the clear lifts up the black paint.. thats if you dont let it dry enough, so i say shoot it with low gloss black, enough coats to cover the rim and let it be.. i think they will look awesome on there

my experience with sanding is that even if your using a high grit, it still leaves marks..

just clean it and paint it with that engine enamel.. it can handle high temps and all weather.. itll look good
